How do you think I feel lol. I am a BD Honk all the way, but I am now also Team Mandarins with my son marching there. Now I know how my buddy felt. He is a USC graduate, but his son got a football scholarship to UCLA lol. Seeing him rock Bruins colors as a diehard Trojan was hilarious.

If the Rose Bowl is out for any reason, interested to see where they go. 2012-2013 the Saturday show went to Mt. Sac, and in 2014 it was in Glendora, before moving back to Pasadena in 2015.

So are you saying the Mandarins will win the third SoCal show in San Bernardino? Lol.

The first two California shows of the season is listed on the DCI website as "San Diego area and Los Angeles area" so us SoCal fans are in the same boat you are in.

I would consider BDs 2000 show "Methods of Madness" dark. That opening drill is unreal. 150 people are not supposed to move so effortlessly like that.

Man, you aren't lying about the percussion scene in Cali. Here in SoCal alone, you can't throw a rock without hitting a drummer. They are deep out here! #6 bass drummer for Crown last season currently attends my son's Alma Mater Vista Murrieta High School. He had huge support and we were all very proud of him.

Heck yea!! Congrats! I will definitely be rooting for your boy to slay it this season. Going to be another great summer indeed.

Mandarins had a brass camp this past weekend. My son didn't give away any details of what they have so far, but this is what I took away from the conversation........... To anyone thinking the Mandarins were a cute little story and one hit wonder that will fall back to earth in 2024.............prepare to be highly upset Saturday Night, August 10th.

Thanks brother. I am still mourning the Super Bowl. Such a devastating loss for my beloved 49ers. It's going to be a LONG off-season. Luckily I have drum corps to help lol.

Covid in 2020 derailed all the momentum they had coming off 2019. I believe they shot up five or six spots in the last two weeks of the season, and darn near caught SOA for 13th. We'll never know, but I believe if not for Covid, PC would have been a Finalist or at the very least a serious contender for the 12th spot in 2020. I am rooting for them big time this year, and I hope they can perform on Saturday night in Indy.

This time last year, if I told you the Mandarins would finish the 2023 season in 6th place, challenge Cadets for 5th all the way to finals night, and go unbeaten vs Phantom Regiment and Cavaliers, you probably would have laughed yourself to death, and any credibility I might have had with you would've been blown to bits. There was nothing predictable about the Mandarins historic rise in 2023. There is still plenty of shock and awe in DCI.

It's all love brother. I will keep it 💯, me and my son was nervous at halftime lol. But Purdy put the team on his back and carried us in the second half. For real though, Detroit is legit. Us Niners fans have crazy respect for them. Lions are a young team. They will be a threat for years to come.

I am around. But right now, the focus is on my beloved 49ers getting this sixth Super Ring next Sunday! I will turn my attention to BD/Mandarins after February 11th. Bang Bang Niner Gang! In Brock Purdy we trust!

When I was 15, I ran over the small tree in my parents front yard that my mom planted lol.

Mandarins will be at the big shows Broken Arrow, Murfreesboro etc, this season due to their top six finish. Excited for them. They earned it!

Of all the schools and courses I did in my Navy career, TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Course) was top five most intense and one of the best. I would put it up there with SERE school. TCCC is CPR training on steroids times ten. I told myself if I ever became MCPON, I would require everyone in the Navy to go thru that course.

I am a diehard 49ers fan, and a couple years ago I was watching a Jerry Rice interview. He said the way the game has evolved, and these receivers are bigger, stronger, faster than ever..........he said he would be lucky to be a top 40 receiver in today's NFL.

My kids Alma Mater, Vista Murrieta High School here in Murrieta CA, their bass drummer just marched #6 Bass for Crown this past summer. I would have to ask my son as he is still tapped into the band, but I think Vista Murrieta had a few kids march at the WC level this past summer. Mandarins had some high school kids as well.

Except judges have the ability to go back and adjust numbers in the end if need be.

Well brother, there is a corps about 500 miles north of you that just "Sinned and Spinned" their way to a record breaking 2023 season, and put DCI on notice for 2024. Their Corps Director just won Director of the Year. I think they could find a home for your son's amazing talents.
