  1. Or ask @Terri Schehr about the time the poachers demanded to see her’s and Jim’s tickets, or the time the poachers asked if they could stay for the next show.
  2. Yeah, do this! No one ever gets ###### off because you are sitting in their seats and then have to deal with poachers! We just laugh and laugh and never talk about what an ######## you are, or take note of your corps jacket to see whose corps is being represented so well. And don’t worry, I would never take a picture of you being ejected from my seat and then post it to social media.
  3. What I have noticed over the years is that many TBA shows tend to fade away.
  4. That is his exact quote ... but he dodged a sphere much better than he dodged an ax!
  5. An hour if we were lucky. Usually we would take a shower because there wasn’t time to do anything else.
  6. The worst part of inspection was that it killed a rehearsal block because we had to polish bucks and horns. Then you you couldn’t get a proper warm-up in for fear of getting spit-valve spit on your horn bell. And don’t get me started on the hair nets!
  7. I can’t remember if it was British, but the inspiration did come from a dance-stage production.
  8. I’ve been meaning to talk to you about your Will ...
  9. I certainly have a Bluecoats bias but I thought that BD and Bloo were too close to call. BD had an amazing show and I feel no shame in losing to them. But I also agree that BD was much better live than how they looked on the Blu Ray.
  10. The place was rocking! And from where I sat in the top row of section 141, it was awesome watching the peace signs swaying in time to the corps playing and fans singing. It was a great moment!
  11. And suffering consequences for his actions (and inactions in seeking forgiveness from the survivors).
  12. Let’s ask the survivors. Should there be justice in this world or not?
  13. Well, you know, having skin on your hands is overrated. 😂
  14. I hum the drum solo from “In A Godda Da Vida.”
  15. Fair enough. But you haven’t lived until you have watched 1976 Seneca Optimists at hour 14!
  16. This is how I measure drum corps. I was at a drum corps party this weekend. The main event was watching last year’s Blu Rays. But the party went on for a day and a half. When not watching last year’s shows, we would call out shows from the entire Legacy Collection and every year since. We watched somewhere in the neighborhood of 16 hours of drum corps, and we were an eclectic group. Know what no one asked for? Any of the Cadet shows that have recently been poked fun of. Sorry, but they just didn’t stand the test of time. Regardless, I want to see a truly vintage Cadets show this year that is worthy of their greatest shows. I do not want to see a NPR show, nor do I want to see a Stoned show ever again. But I would love to see a classic Cadets show.
  17. Egg-xactly. A lot of us commented on the even year (Hop-year) disasters vs. the odd year (design team) years.
  18. Oh come on. Most of us can see it is just in good fun. I am pretty sure we are all hopeful for a great Cadets rebound.
  19. I was in 27th. We had 18-35 AC. A lot of the time it was 18-0!
  20. My mother used to say that all kids need to eat a peck of dirt by the time they are 5.
