Just visited the show site. Cavaliers were in sectionals ... in the shade. My car said it was 116 when I got in but cooled down to a chilly 107 as I drove. Time to drink lots of water.

People in the crowd laughed at the sound of the lifting prop at Cedarburg. It was kind of distracting.

So I've seen the Troopers live 3 times and am watching on-line tonight (I wish I was there!!!!) ... the show is so much better in person. It just doesn't seem to translate to video.

No detailed analysis from me but this is my third night of shows. I felt everyone had a stronger run than the last time I saw them (Saturday or Sunday), except Madison. They seemed a little sluggish. Cavaliers were on fire ... after a very late night last night in Lisle. Blue Stars started slow but had the crowd by the end. Reported on the Troopers thread that the rotating sun was back (it did not rotate on Saturday) and also had a great run. The Troopers ballad is going to be something special by finals night.

After 48 hours of concern, I'm happy to report the rotating sun is BACK! Troopers had a great run tonight in Cedarburg

And there will be me. Just drove by the site and watched the last few minutes of the Troopers. Gonna be a great night for drum corps

Sun prop was not rotating tonight in Madison ... broken? or did the judges not like it? Hope they add it back at least at the end of the show.

Late to the game and not sure if its been resolved, but I was waiting to go into section 112 (lower level 50 yard line) and he was standing 10 feet away from me. I've got a great picture if anyone wants it 🙂

Rain appears to be past and its actually cloudy ... which is providing a nice break from the heat. A little breezy right now which could impact guard. About to leave the hotel. Gonna be a great show tonight!

And I was there! It was my first DCI show ever.

Does the other venue allow alcohol? I've heard that's an issue since the alumni have their reunion on site (but I can't swear this came from a reputable source).

Just arrived in Naperville so will be heading to the show in a few hours ... after eating at Uncle Julio's (its a tradition for me). Show is starting 10 minutes late ... but even with PR taking the night off (so only 4 corps plus an exhibition), they could not convince INT to take the night off too.

I've walked around the stadium about 5 times ... I'm really excited now!!!!

It's been a while (like 3 years) ... but I'm back and ready to go. We're planning on hitting the DCI Houston show ... hope you're going to be there.

I watched the Rita Moreno broadcast with my band friends and we all laughed when she mentioned how much she liked the "costumes". Costumes??? They were uniforms! I guess she knew way back then where things were going to go.

Enjoy the proud dad nights. I'm really missing them this year but it'll be fun to have my daughter next to me instead of on the field (and a lot less stressful for me).

Hitting the road in about 2 hours. Can't wait for the my second weekend of live shows!
