Based on local rumor mills they seem to be fine and are collecting donations. And I do know there is a big effort amongst the board and those associated with the board locally here in Erie attempting to gain corporate sponsors from businesses in Erie. Including some that would be extremely beneficial to the corps.
All things considered, The Cadets appear to be doing well here in Erie and are prepared for the next year.

I said earlier this week that this was going to be a hard week.
I know of one other super sad thing happening, but that might be another week or so.
folks at Cadets (at least a few) knew this was going to happen for at least a week.

Chris Williams, Corps Director for Academy, is out. After a month.

In September, The Academy announced that Chris Williams was selected as the new Corps Director. After the announcement, there were a few rumblings about his past, including some problematic behavior.now it appears he is gone?

Agreed. The only people who state this are Blue Stars folks.

I haven’t been to Finals as a spectator since the Rose Bowl in 2007!!
Made a last minute impulsive decision and will be going to Finals tonight.
Please share any and all tips! I have my ticket but don’t anything about the logistics or timing.

My initial thoughts:
Crown should have scored higher.
BD jump seems a little too high and should be closer the 2-4. (They are so good!).
Mandarins should be ahead of Cadets.

Blue Stars - Dang, I don’t know if anyone saw them in 11th going into finals. I don’t know if I see them going up tomorrow.

Not sure if this belongs here, but since they were a member of World Class, I think it is relevant….
Heard from 2 sources that Capital Regiment is planning on returning in 2024.
Didn’t someone say another organization bought a number of items from Southwind?
