Same here! I've appreciated the direction Cavies have been going towards since 16, but this years show outmatches them all by far.

Don’t you worry about what they say man. Myself and MANY others enjoy your show, very much so. If you haven’t noticed, DCP tends to have a lot of the same folk on here, so what you read isn’t the thoughts of the masses! I agree with queenanne, get off here, pay no mind and enjoy your summer. If not, at least perform for those of us who support and are enjoying what we see! Most importantly, perform for YOURSELF. Your season should not be diminished by comments on an online forum. You got a fan here. Have a great rest of your season. 🙂

More complications to the season... considering what I’ve seen, I’d put Knights apprehensively behind Stars but optimistically ahead of Mandarins. But I wouldn’t know since I haven’t seen BK’s show. Would also have Stars ahead of Cadets as well though, and I say that with a heavy heart. People like to, or just happen to forget about the Blue Stars, but they’ve become my sweetheart corps. So underrated, but for some reason never seem to reach the audiences or judges I suppose.

I plead the fifth! I’ve had enough DCP drama so I’m trying to be conversational and pleasant. BUT. maybe. The Devils have all means to make their show spectacular, it’s a matter of will they?

Hey, might as well keep this thread going since this is what I predict as of now. Top 4 will be (alphabetically of course): Bluecoats, Boston Crusaders, Carolina Crown, and Santa Clara Vanguard. Too soon to feel out what exact order they'll be. Of course there's the Devils.. I know it's naive of me to see them getting less than 3rd, but I really think the east coast is matching a certain west coast corps, and it's the Devils turn to go down the stairs for a minute. To add to that, Cavaliers have this train that will definitely cause casualties if they gain enough speed, they could easily pass the Devils IMO. Final thought, again too early to predict, but (for maybe the first time), maybe we'll see a finals with four different caption wins? Bluecoats GE, Boston guard, Crown brass, and Vanguard percussion... Imagine the craziness that would be.

Considering the fact uniforms have been “masculine” up until really the past five years... what is wrong with changing it up? Are the handful of “straight men who are uncomfortable dressing in feminine outfits” more important than the rest of the straight men who really don’t care, and understand their “masculinity” or identity isn’t compromised because they are confident? Any consideration for the women wearing the uniforms that make them all look like men? Also, I really fail to see what uniforms are overtly feminine... seriously name one corps uniform. I’m assuming you meant vanguard by your earlier postings but... it’s neither masculine nor feminine. It’s neutral. That’s where people are gathering that you’re intolerant and at times anti-lgbt, regardless of the thousands of lgbt friends you may have, because femininity in men is bad, or so you suggest. You can say you haven’t said anything rather ignorant, but when lgbt people say: that was ignorant for you to say, it probably.... is. Perhaps you didn’t mean it in anyway but it’s not what you said it’s how you said it.

Correct me if I’m wrong... but it seems as though the bluecoats are literally comparing themselves to the beatles. Coincidentally this morning on Facebook someone shared the video of the Beatles performing on the Ed Sullivan show back in 1964. After he says ladies and gentlemen the Beatles it shows the absolute mad crowd freaking out, is that supposed to be us drum corps fans? Seems a little... cocky. Like arrogant cocky. There’s super cool moments in this show, like the opener and closer, very impressive. But, I kinda can’t help but eye roll at the whole concept. It’d be different if it was a mash up show or something but I can’t see why else they’re playing the Beatles other than to say, “we’re the Beatles of this whole activity, better than you. *eye wink*” just kinda leaves a bitter taste for me. Their show name is THEIR name for crying out loud... Am I wrong?

Agreed! It’s such a step in a new direction for them, and I’m here for it.
