I wish Blue Knights were out west for this show! That would be a perfect first show.

I have my reservations, but I know I WILL warm up to this show. A lot of things I need to see multiple times to fully get it. It is The Bluecoats after all. Also I saw some pretty bad theater bootlegs so that may also be a factor. Most memorable moment is that weird trombone solo towards the beginning.. forgive me I’m not the biggest Beatles fan. It’s a major well thought out production though I cannot deny, and so I say kudos Bluecoats. Back at it again

These guys need a major break... everyone calm down. It’s the tour premiere. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen and heard because... it’s the tour premiere. Not knocking other opinions I’ve seen, but come on it’s a youth activity and these men and women are performing for us! Enjoy it. August is coming. EDIT: was not coming for you Ediker, just don’t like seeing corps getting #### on. You guys know these members read these forums, hardly a motivation.

I’ve seen a few videos before tonight, but what I can say now is this show is something else. Comparisons are inevitable but Crown has never put a show on quite like this. I look forward to the many changes that will happen, but for me, this show at its bare bones is so strong, confident and quintessentially Crown. At least 2010s Crown (y’all the 20s are about to happen again..). Placement, placement, placement. Who the #### cares. My favorite moment is the company front. What’s y’alls?

I would say the majority of Mello players are horn players, myself included. I don’t know of any corps in the top 12 that use horn mouthpieces with the adapters to adjust to the lead pipe size of a mellophone. It hurts projection, and I would think it’s actually more harmful to the embouchure of Horn players. Horn is played at an angle, so when using adapters the mouthpiece is straight to the face, like a trumpet. I’ve found that trumpet players can play mello far more easily than a horn player can play trumpet, so I suppose it would depend on what’s needed.

True, in all honesty it’s more likely the admin are taking some drugs... sometimes they act crazzzzy at lot warm ups LOL no names named. 🤭

Perhaps also beta blockers for soloists to help with nerves, but I seriously doubt anyone takes any type of drugs... one would need to have consistent access, seems a bit hard to have while touring. Also just seems overall unnecessary

I noticed, same with Devils too. I think they’re trying to bring the line to the judge since they can’t go on field anymore. Smart imo.

I’m really into these uniforms! The translucent fabric is a creative detail for sure. Anything is better than those god awful hats last year... from roaches to glass, works for me!
