I think the word you're looking for is: backstabbing.

Go read the language used in the amendment. It rules out everything other than funerals and taps.

She has her views on the band for sure... but.. wait.. what is this? Just a few months ago, she was invited to sing the National Anthem for the opening of one of the Navy Band concerts. Maybe the real question is "how does she sleep at night?" This is the type of concert she wants to do away with, but i guess, unless it features her singing....

Then she is too short-sighted to realize that war isn't won just on one front.

Military musicians deploy AND CARRY GUNS, performing for troops as well as the international communities to strengthen bonds and to share our culture with theirs so that we have a better understanding of one another. Or would you rather leave it to their imagination as to what kind of people we are when we drop bombs on the next town over? If McSally wants to save REAL money, she should look no further than the BRAC which recommends closing excess infrastructure which would save billions. I don't want this to turn into a debate, sorry, but it's important that all musicians, drum corps fans, music educators, etc. know whats going on in Congress right now.

One final note... Please disseminate this message to every drum corps forum/message board, college/university school's of music, and any music education boards that you know of. Less funding for military bands = fewer jobs for musicians. These are your tax dollars at work. How would YOU like them to be used? Voice your opinion. Write your local elected officials!
