Good. It's great when corps get better from year to year and members and fans are happy. Sounds like all the corps are excited about this year. Even the corps with staff changes seem to be doing better.

Something I'm not sure has been discussed enough so far this year (correct me if I'm wrong) but the choir for The Cadets is excellent!! Those folks can perform and are perfect for that show. To me The Cadets are using the vocals the best of any corps this year to enhance their show and not become a distraction.

Yeah I would agree with that. When does BAC pass The Cadets?

Then SCV uses towers in that 2015 show...and I think they built them in a way that made them easier to maneuver perhaps? That was an excellent show and the effect worked very well.

Hey George by the way...the Crown show ending in 2016 was not bad!!! Was it what I personally would have liked to see...no again I wanted to see some great drill. But it's what Keith and Leon wanted. Right? So then you would agree that they held Crown back in 2016...is that what you're saying?

Learn to appreciate more and criticize less. Even drill you think was just 'ok' in 2013 was written by a DCI Hall of Famer. Remember? Could you write that drill? Hey I didn't like the props much but they added to the effect and I can appreciate the intent. Man I can even find redeeming factors with the black uniforms and wedding cake props in last years show. I just don't personally like to use the word 'terrible' when we're talking about levels of design that I can't even imagine creating.

This is a strange year for them. They have always announced their show by the latest the beginning of all days. I will be critical of this and say it's silly to wait like this. It does #### fans off . I mean get the word out and let people know.

George I don't get your perception of 'terrible'. No, I don't have to trust you because your opinions are skewed based on your history as a corps member or fan...The 2013 ending for The Cadets was not terrible. Holy crap are you kidding? That drill was brilliant and the musical scoring was incredible. You didn't like it but so what. But I guess if you think something you don't like is terrible then so be it. I choose to try not to be a snob about all this and see the good and bad in every show.

Yes we do. And while you may not have liked the end of the Crown 2016 show it was far from terrible. A corps does not finish third with a 'terrible' part of their show. Hey I'd have rather seen them do some great drill and not make the outline of a gun and all. But it worked. And again, this is the group of fans who like Crown...right?

Yep...like the entire Cadets 2016 show. While I don't really think The Cadets 2016 show was 'terrible' I figured I'd jump in here and throw out some hyperbole just like George here.

Crown retained 13 vets if I have heard correctly and brought on new talent that is equal to the kids they lost. And the new staff at Crown is excellent. Throw in Jeff Sacktig writing drill and we shall see.

I Thought this was the Crown supporters group. They had an incredible brass line in 2015. They had an excellent drumline in 2015 though they didn't win I know so don't lecture me about that please. They had an excellent guard in 2015. They fell short in feet and drill but so did Bluecoats in 2016. That didn't seem to hurt the Coats enough that they would finish second. But it did in 2015.

The 2015 Crown show was "that one show". But they didn't win.

It worked for BD in 2015. That was not the best show. But they were clean.

Had to jump in here...the new visual design team at Boston designed that 2014 Crown show from start to finish. Just saying...

Some mentioning Tom Aungst perhaps becoming the Director of The Cadets...wow. Why would you think that is even a possibility? Or are you just hoping... He lives in Mass. Has worked in public schools for over 20 years...so he'd have to leave that job. I guess anything is possible...but this is pretty out there.

I don't have personal knowledge of Hop's relationship with Sully so I'm not speculating. He came in and fixed this summer's show so I was simply asking why he was not back for 2017. I do in fact have personal knowledge of the Aungst/Hopkins relationship. Question all you want George. Knock yourself out. The truth is the truth. Plus, the relationship problems between those two is not some big secret. I can't imagine anyone who had a semblance of knowledge about the history between Aungst and Hopkins that wouldn't have been surprised by Aungst's decision to go back to The Cadets.
