  1. Your patience is amazing. Do you work at target? Are you a jet?
  2. what was it that someone said. "because idiots will still refuse to take the vaccine" I substituted "wear a mask" with take the vaccine. Same same. "ahhhhhhh science".
  3. What's wrong? Not everyone is going to agree with everything that is said. It is a discussion. I was poking fun at the mail in voting? You never had this happen before outside of DCP?
  4. You have so much patience putting up with all of these replies here. Do you work at Target?
  5. Wow. I mail in voted more than once already. Seems to be working really well. Early voted in 3 locations and did the 4 drive thru locations and they all worked well.
  6. Vaccine is Science. All the other stuff is pretty clear here. No problem with the numbers just how the pile on is done. Here you go Masks are not 100% prevention against the corona virus. People can chose not to wear it and that will happen.
  7. I have seen some interesting masks. Do people wear them in your area while out walking the dog or going for a stroll? They don't do that where I'm located but I have seen plenty wearing a mask while driving a car alone. Not exactly sure what that is about. Quick Q . Now that DCI will not be back do you think the pageantry leach's will find new places to stick onto? I would say they would all become band directors but those will be a thing of the past also. Who knew the fine arts would pay so little????? and then to have that all taken away.
  8. Mask's were originally no help as told by Science ------- now they are. It does seem that it offers help against the spread. There will be studies to follow that will prove or disprove. Science is always changing. lock down for 15 days to slow the spread. Actually a month Actually two months no wait three months four? Until there's a vaccine. Never mind actually we can't trust the vaccine. Vaccine is Science - but you don't trust vaccine due to Science only matters if it fits my narrative. If it was a different narrative it would be all aboard the vaccine train. Same way with the economy because you really don't want things to open up until that narrative fits yours. Just look at the pile on mentality at work here when someone does not agree with the "majority". Keep coming up with these real life stories though.
  9. Those not being honest with the doctors for the covid tracing are the same ones who have gone full blown antivax. Worried about the government having data on them.
  10. You can look at the data it clearly shows that over 70% who wore a mask were covid positive. I mean you did ask for the link and said it would be a good read. I gave you the link and you replied as if you have not read that PDF. Here is the part I referred to. That is not white house spin or CDC spin it is what the data gave them. "In the 14 days before illness onset, 71% of case-patients and 74% of controlparticipants reported always using cloth face coverings or other mask types when in public."
  11. I don't care what the white house has said or what the cdc has said. That info is CDC's own data. Not something I am making up. Sorry if they don't want people to read it then take it down off the website.
  12. There are states without mask mandates correct? I don't spend much time worried about people who don't wear one. But its pretty clear that the infections don't equal hospitalizations and deaths. That is really good news. But I don't see much reporting on it. We do get to see the pro mask folks assault the folks who don't wear one.
  13. Yeah things change and now maybe mask are a waste of time? The CDC says that over 70% of infections are with people who wear masks. I'm going to get in line to take the vaccine because I want things to get better. YMDV
  14. No one says Science is perfect. Not one source is a good thing with anything. Scientist have not had long enough to come to any real solid conclusions. Things are changing but to claim one source of info is the end all be all is exactly what I am point to when I say - "it is what it is until it changes" Hey guess now is as good as a time as any to remind all that Masks are not mandated and people have a right not to wear one if they want. Run get the duct tape to keep you brain matter from exploding. But if you really believe there should be a mask mandate then why not a back to work and school mandate?
  15. When it tells us that one thing and then changes that one thing a few months later.
  16. Yeah 2020 is probably not going to happen. 😉 So better to wait it out? No marching until the pandemic burns itself out? The Spanish Flu took a year and a half. Maybe it is better to wait out 2 seasons and see what is left in 2022. That might be the reality. Seems the number of anti vaxers are growing so the vaccine will not do what is intended if people do not take it.
  17. Yes true. It should be received that way but I'm not confident. At least so far,,, you or I,,, are not posting about the personal patience of each other or others. Maybe personal politics have driven many into a spiral to where they do not want to see any success or good news?
  18. The rapid testing kits along with a vaccine would be a start. I'm not sure what it takes to get those rapid testing but might want to check with the local health departments and see if organizations for the youth such as DCI could get those for no cost. The vaccine and protocol's similar to college sports teams.
  19. How many hospitalizations did they have? Any news source for the homecoming?
  20. Sports are going on and their members safety is taken into account. Schools across the country are back in session since early August and their safety along with the teachers is taken into an account. Those poor suckers that continued to go into work everyday since March when the lockdowns began, all the while many stayed at home and enjoyed that luxury. Their safety was taken into an account but not so much at the beginning of the lockdowns. Yet many here had the luxury of sitting it out at home and making prognostications from the keyboard, doom and gloom. Still doing it even today. Lost of interesting postings and subjective actions here. It's as if some are ok with the destruction of DCI and arts in schools. People do have a choice and eventually make them. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/03/us/mask-protests-1918.html
  21. Same here. Anytime anyone points out that things being open and moving forward. Some strange replies or reactions happen. It is all counterproductive and is peddled by more than a few here. . Won't be long before someone comes along to tell me either what to think or what another poster means on their post. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/12/health/coronavirus-pandemic-vaccine-optimism.html
