I agree! The Crownies production is not in the same design tier as BD, BAC and Bloo. Not to mention percussion.

Both BD and Bloo have a very clear understanding of what makes their productions special.

You answered your own question (traditional drill and minimal staging) is not awarded based on the following criteria. Visual Proficiency - Content and achievement. Visual Proficiency - Composition and achievement.

Great run Boston! Looks like BD might have to wait to 2023 to win #20. You handled the pressure like a mature confident corps should. If Boston doesn’t win tonight it’s not going to happen in Indy either.

Based upon what a corps has scored previously in the same sub caption prior to the corps current performance in that same sub caption. If for example corps 'A' received an 18.2 in a sub caption and in the current show the same sub caption is scored 18.3, because the judges believe that corps 'A' to be at least an 18.2 based upon their last score in that sub caption.

Assessment/evaluation and scoring are very different! IMO scores are irrelevant and we’re made irrelevant with the hundreds of a point adoption. IMO Ordinal’s are better because you are recognized in relationship to other performances. No one judging can explain a tenth delta within any one sub caption, so just enter the ordinal. The fact that a judge can change any score for any corps while the show is still taking place is also where we have unrealistic scoring. BTW scoring for any event is linear based on previous scores within sub captions. It would be refreshing to see scoring based on each individual performance instead of the linear equation.

DCI has never ever been proactive. Frankly I don’t believe that they have any teeth or even want to engage in this matter with GH. They will continue to keep their head in the sand until something bits them in the butt. DCI has been a colossal failure with respect to pageantry leech creepers in their activity!

Devils were a little edgy tonight but that is when they have the most success is on the edge. Really an outstanding production with the highest achievement and performance quality. Guard came back strong!

I enjoy this show more after every viewing. There are some very incredible things going on that can be easily missed. Nice well executed show Bluecoats.

With this being one of two remaining performances before Indy, I’m looking forward to seeing BD and getting a read on how they will add the few Easter eggs they plan on implementing during rehearsal days before Indy.

Are you advocating that DCI should not allow religion expression in any production? If so, then Cadets shouldn’t be allowed to wear the Holy Name patch either.
