It’s a bunch of kids acting stupid. I acted stupid all the time back when I marched. That’s why I spent a lot of my free time loading the equipment truck. Maybe that’s why I have a hiatal hernia now. Acting like an idiot in retreat. Junior Kilties would lift up their kilts and show the goods in retreat. Thank God they were no cell phones then. No one wants to see that. 🙋♀️ Full disclosure: I still occasionally do stupid stuff now.

Oh that’s the truth right there. The Cadets showed up at their housing in Cincinnati in 2014, it had fallen through and Jim had to get on the phone with his old Pride of Cincinnati folks and find them a place. Luckily, he was successful.

You mean he’s more of an egomaniac than the others? Holy 💩.

I’m sure they’ll be fairly close this year, young one. 😊😉 -
I don’t really have any regrets except i probably should have marched 1979. I do know that there were a few brass players who I marched with that followed Tim Salzman out to SCV in 1981. So it has been happening for a very long time.

The brass really started getting good in 78 when Tim Salzman joined the staff. In 75, the Guardsmen placed 31st at DCI. When I signed up in the fall of 75, I figured I’d be buying a finals ticket. 😂 I

TBH, I followed my friends to Guardsmen. If I’d been a guy, I’d probably have followed those friends to Cavaliers.
-
It’s not like that anymore. They follow staff people around. I saw my kid do it twice. He followed one drum staff around. I felt he was limiting himself but it was his choice.

That’s not really bad. We paid almost twice that much for a lower tier bowl game last year and we were definitely not feted in a suite. Almost makes me want to go. -

I was rooting for the Lions. I don’t know what happened in the second half. -

You’re right. I’m probably reading into it what some other people have implied. Subconsciousness at play. -

Being used to get rid of him and then tossed aside wasn’t very nice either. -

I’m going with number three because that would be my motivation. -

What I gleaned from the blog was that the corps won despite of someone. Not because of someone. And that’s really all I have to say. -
