  1. Oh no. Now Iā€™m worried for the potential members who sent them money. Caveat Emptor.
  2. They have so much autotune on Cher that they may as well have a robot up there. She looks good, though. Sheā€™s either a vampire or thereā€™s a really scary portrait of her somewhere in her house.
  3. Thatā€™s the one. Daniel Plainview was nothing if not creative.
  4. That may have happened. I just wasnā€™t aware of it. I remember Cap Sound people, myself included, getting all the cast off equipment despite having the kids and parents who worked all the fundraisers. We were steamed about Southwinds new food truck in 1999. Seems trivial now but at the timeā€¦ šŸ”„
  5. Thatā€™s right. The same director of Boogie Nights. Could there be any two different movies?
  6. I think youā€™d agree with me that theyā€™ve really found their footing. And their niche. Itā€™s made a world of difference.
  7. I was rewatching There Will be Blood the other day. I wonder if they used some of the incidental music from that movie in 2022? Itā€™s good. I believe I recognized some of it. The score is by Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood.
  8. Just so no one ends up in a wood chipper, Iā€™m okay with that. šŸ˜‰
  9. Yes. In 1995. They actually put a pretty decent corps together in a very short time.
  10. I donā€™t think so. Cap Sound was under the umbrella in Madison, though.
  11. Maybe it was the IDBCA show. Iā€™m positive you guys were in it.
  12. They reenacted the rumble in West Side Story. It may be on YouTube somewhere. Des Plaines Vanguard 1972. I donā€™t know if youā€™ve watched legacy drum corps but itā€™s an entirely different beast than now. It laid the foundation. I believe you can appreciate both.
  13. Youā€™re an old timer like me. šŸ˜‚. Did PR ever hold their show at Harlem high school? Or is that the IDBCA show Iā€™m thinking of? I definitely remember that show in 1973 because thatā€™s where the Viscounts got a 7.7. Total score. šŸ˜³ Kilties went on right after them. I asked Jim if he remembers that but he doesnā€™t. I guess the old saying that if you remember the 70ā€™s, you werenā€™t there is true. Itā€™s funny what the mind remembers. I canā€™t even go to Publix for three items now without a post it note but I can remember šŸ’© like that. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø
  14. Youā€™re practically in Cleveland. I was told the Cadets sent a bus there for camps.
  15. He looks like heā€™s right out of a Christopher Guest movie. šŸ˜‚
  16. Oh you know it. The McHenry, Illinois dustup is legendary.
  17. Thatā€™s why we differentiate between Kentucky Southwind and Alabama Southwind. Kentucky Southwind was under the Madison umbrella until 2007.
