  1. Close. A woman’s husband had passed away and she wanted a refund for the four tickets he’d bought. She apparently didn’t know he had sold two of them. They fixed it. I didn’t have to sit on Jim’s lap.
  2. Jim said that at that manager’s meeting Friday, they were told that the only staff that could go into the stands was the sound person. And they had to enter from the top of the stadium. They had crime scene tape over the field to stands entrances. CT got a warning for standing from the designated staff area. You are supposed to stay seated there.
  3. Not a care in the world. Sitting at a table in the lobby doing something. I scurried past too quickly to find out.
  4. I’m right behind you. But, I’ve seen it happen. And from people whose transgressions happened in Drum Corps. Returning to the scene of The crime, so to speak.
  5. 1. Bloo 2. Boston 3. The Cadets 4. The Cavaliers 5. Spirit 6. Music City Honorable mention: Pacific Crest
  6. That’s awful. The last thing you should have to worry about is retaliation. Very disturbing
  7. Yeah, that was me. No worries. It’s been a lot to digest since April. I think I should throw my iPad and iPhone in the lake behind my house.
  8. I think you’re referring to me. I did allow him to march. I marched, too. I knew things went on back then but we know so much more now with social media. If I’d had access to the information then that I have now, I may have reconsidered.
  9. The sad truth is, innocent or guilty, once this story popped, YEA had no choice.
  10. It’s not me because I’m not an alpha male.
  11. I haven’t lost my faith. I’ve lost my faith in the institution.
  12. Um, but this guy was a priest. There was only one direction to go here. Look, I sent my kid to 12 years of Catholic education. No problems. We can’t ignore that there is a problem however. But you are correct about what is happening in public schools: http://graphics.chicagotribune.com/chicago-public-schools-sexual-abuse/
  13. I’m a Catholic and I’ll tell you who I’m directing my ire toward...the diocese that has harbored and protected people like this. If he’d been charged, at least YEA would have known.
  14. Doug Rutherford said there were no performance issues with him. I assume that covers any inappropriate behavior. I’m guessing that considering everything that The Cadets and Cadets2 have experienced since April, their radars would be way up for inappropriate behavior from staff. As are most of the members of drum corps.
