  1. I remember Lake Highlands. The ground was crawling with red ants. I’m a little bug obsessed. My Dad used to say that I’d be easy to spot on the field because I’d be the only one wearing a mosquito net.
  2. Yes. Jim helped assemble them before shows when he was driving that year. It took three people 15 minutes to assemble each one. And they were heavy.
  3. Remember the portapotties? They were so heavy that 200 lb men had trouble pushing them around, and here’s 100 lb girls doing that. Plus, on the bottom they had grocery cart wheels on them that went in every which direction. Engineering flaw.
  4. Or even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while.
  5. The ‘60’s were very tough for the Scouts.
  6. I remember. I marched in whitewater several times.
  7. If I think like I’m back in Birmingham, I’ll be 21. I think I’ll do that.
  8. It is a very long day at the regionals. I see everyone in Indy by seeing a lot of shows earlier on Thursday, take a break and return later. Friday, I switch it up where I see the middle group I missed on Thursday, take a break, then come in later. Saturday, I’m there for everyone. Spreading it out over three days works pretty well for us. Plus I’m older so I need to get up and take a walk.
  9. Congratulations BAC guard! You’re terrific and so is the rest of the corps! Keep up the great work!
  10. That is so sad. I saw a young woman at a show this year who barely looked up from her phone to enjoy the great entertainment right in front of her. It was really sad.
  11. Wow! Service with a smirk. It may be advisable to be more patient with the customers who are paying money for your product, which seems to be still in the learning stages. We are being as patient and lighthearted as we can be about some of the camera bloopers. There’s even a drinking game!
