  1. Someone lost their class ring, too. People losing a lot of stuff tonight.
  2. A friend in Little Elm is ten miles from Denton and he said it is 104 degrees at his house right now.
  3. Two weeks ago was unbearable. I would take my long walk really early in the morning and my sunglasses would steam up. It was like Florida swampy.
  4. Looks like a really nice stadium. A high school with seat backs.
  5. Stay as cool as you possibly can. It sounds brutal.
  6. They were vastly improved in St. Louis from the first time I saw them. Keep up the great work, kids!
  7. I passed out at a Cubs game because my sodium level was so low. Turns out my med had to be changed up because it was lowering my sodium level. I drink a lot of smart water in the summer because I don’t want that to happen again. Went down like a ton of bricks during the national anthem. I woke up and people were throwing water on me. Jim thought I was dead. It really scared me and I don’t scare easy.
  8. Notovirus. Highly contagious. Bleach kills it on surfaces.
  9. I remember Cap Sound’s last run through of the season in 2001 in Buffalo..the drum line went to the back of the field and stood there for about a minute. The basses dropped trou and all you saw were pasty white butts.
  10. Different Collin. He was a synth player in the corps. Great kid. But aren’t they all?
  11. I’m glad they’re taking care of the members by moving back the show times and no unis. Thank goodness Saturday’s show is in the Alamodome.
  12. I remember clearly that it was 101 every day we were there last year for the show. I have to say it didn’t bother me that much because it wasn’t accompanied by the oppressive humidity that we have here. Walked all over the place. Of course, I wasn’t rehearsing either. I remember a really super hot Texas tour in 1980. And wasn’t 2011 really hot down there, too? Because I remember it being over 100 degrees at the Battle Creek show and that’s in Michigan. Spectators were going down.
  13. I think it’s great that the young people are so engaged in WGI guard. It’s canned music, some of it not so great, and it’s pure color guard. Totally different head when you have really #### good musicians on the field giving it their all.
