  1. Cavaliers secret weapon for tonight: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cu2h0ypSbgz/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== šŸ˜ŽšŸ‘
  2. I think you could be spot on. But I also know most of us havenā€™t seen Cavaliers since 7/9 while seeing others multiple times. And of course (sigh) weā€™re not going to see them again tonight and not until Austin on 7/20. Eleven days of ā€œFlo Blackoutā€ is a lot in a 7-week season. Iā€™m obviously a Cavaliers homer. So my optimism is unfounded because I havenā€™t seen them either. Theyā€™ve got good position draws between tonight, Austin, Houston( Tomball), and San Antonio. Remains to be seen if they can take advantage of it. But like any fanā€¦ I hope they hit a run over the next 4 shows.
  3. It was a virtual tieā€¦ that ā€œleaned greenā€. Very similar to Cavs virtual tie with Phantom last yearā€¦ that leaned away from them.
  4. This was my sonā€™s approach. Though he did show some excitement on the last night of 2017šŸ˜Ž
  5. Full disclosure. I never marched a step in Drum Corps. My brother marched Spirit of Atlanta in 79 and 81. My son marched Cavaliers from 2017-2021. For those that didā€¦ did you more enjoy the role of leading the pack overall or in a tier? Or being the pursuer of the leader overall or in a tier ? In 2017, as a fan and parent, I enjoyed Cavaliers chasing Bluecoats for the last month. In 2018, I had trepidation knowing that Boston was gonna hunt us downā€¦ and they did. in 2019, I was energized as the Cavaliers returned the favor and ran down Boston in Indy. And last year, in a blog to Cavaliers parents, I hinted to them we were in danger of Phantom clipping us on Saturday night. And they did. So in this season, Iā€™m back in my comfort zone ā€¦ Cavaliers sitting in 8th with a month left and Cadets and Mandarins in armā€™s reach and Phantom not out of the question as a conquest. While having a little anxiety over Bluestars and Troopers. I found a bootleg from Tupelo today that made me smile. I think weā€™re about to see another gear out of the Cavaliers, pun intended. What about you? As a fan or when you marched, did you think much about whether you felt you had room to climb or were already protecting a lead?
  6. Any DCPā€™ers at this show tonight? Hate itā€™s not on Flo!
  7. And additionally, their last score was July 8th. 6 days of non stop cleaning sun up til sundown by the time they are on the field again.
  8. 6 days with no shows, no EPL, no distractions? which is arguably offset by other corps getting scores and feedbackā€¦ but ending rehearsals midday for show routine.
  9. Iā€™m pretty sure he meant we havenā€™t seen a score from them since the weekend and wonā€™t see another til Friday. Unlike almost everyone else. But I could be wrong. Some corps will have posted 3 in that gap.
  10. Thatā€™s the time, Cavaliersā€¦ right on scheduleā€¦actually ahead of schedule. Onward and upward.
  11. Close to making the first predicted move. Very well could be tonight!
  12. Proud of my Cavs. 3rd in music. Just keep cleaning men. Marathon. Not a sprint. Thought they had PR in music tonight. Just a matter of time. šŸ˜ŽšŸŽŗ
  13. They were easily a week behind or more when they marched in Muncieā€¦ theyā€™ll catch up.
  14. Nice run Cavaliers ā€¦ just. keep. cleaning. And youā€™ll have a nice mid-August.
  15. And 2016 ( ovetook Cadets) And 2017 ( overtook Bluecoats) And 2019 ( overtook Boston) All in Indy at Finals week.
  16. This. And somewhere between SA and Indy a ā€œscore correction curveā€ is coming. Unless weā€™re going to have 4-5 corps above 95 by Atlanta. With 2+ weeks left to go.
