  1. The DCI judges won't give them a pass in 2014, a real shame CC do need the same writers and talents that they had in 2007-2009 to win again. Show stoping production and horn line but Cadets/SCV and BD will pass them.
  2. Ok so I have been an avid collector of the DCI Cds since 1997 and the DVDS since 2002. I had marched in the UK in my youth so was brought up with DCI and DCUK but what is going on with international distribution this year. Is that it now due to publishing laws there will be no longer shipping to an international audience? For all the world wide fans out there what do you thing? From my understanding a number of DCI Corps have European marchers and there is always a percentage of Europeans, Asian fans who make the trip to the finals each year. Surely DCI would have said something about this no? Can we still buy the 2012 cd/dvds... Seems a bit out of the blue!
  3. I think the point is from what I saw on the FN last night attendance was down, looking at tickets for finals top seats they are over priced and its the first time streaming of finals at $69, money has to be made back, makes for a more exciting finals night crown on top, not many people would pay that kind of money to see devils win. Its not fixed, the G.E scores will win it for Crown, but that's a whole new thread!
  4. Maybe because its 3am here in the Uk, and I am tired haha! But they all look tired. All the soloists looked like they need a nap and just want to move on and pick up their winners rings tomorrow night. Look I am some-one who likes their 2010 show and that had energy. BD to me just felt flat, but from what I have seen over the past months that is the point of their show, just compare this to crown, cadets, vanguard etc not being BD hater!
  5. is it me or do the members of BD looked bored. In a kind of it doesn't really matter what we do tonight the judges will put us top.
  6. You think? I thought they were the rest they have been all season (apart from the stick drop) and a few tears
  7. Center snare drops his stick!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 7th in drums again title gone! hehe
  8. I don't think so .2 off blue stars, but beat xmen by almost 2 points!
  9. I rather like their uniforms, not sure what to make of this show!
  10. The good old Mandarins, up and down each year but always fun, keep thinking 'oh whos going to go through to the top 17' the good old days. Love their uniforms this year, but the narration is horrid and the show doesn't really excite, apart from the snare licks at the end!
  11. ..And me! Going to be a long night if I can't get past the Mandarins! btw I'm in the UK!
  12. 1, Blue Devils - I still can't get into this show. Visually the best out there by a long way, but musically just not user friendly (haha im a web producer). The judges seem to be eating it up though, and the mirrors are the new chairs, for devils. At the end of the day just to strong from last year. 2, Cavaliers - They are making huge steps now, who would of thought after there falling the end of last year, and the false start they had at the beginning of the year. The green machine is on a role now and won't stop they seem to have the momentum! 3, Carolina Crown - Seem to be grinding to a slight hault at the moment. Big sound but somethings missing from them this year. No idea why there drumline is being dumped all year, will hurt them for the title this year, but high horns again, and a great finals performance will keep them in the top 3 4, Cadets - I have been a life long fan of cadets (my nick name when i march in the 1990's) but this show is to easy compared to the rest of the contenders, and even ex cadets shows of the past, so a very clean show by finals night, just maybe not techinal enough. Oh and prefer their 1991 show over this (similar theme). 5, Blue coats - Turning a few heads this year, like 2007 can they keep it up to get top 3, i don't thing so. 6, Phantom Regiment - Getting stronger all year, after the disaster of last year, great drumline (could take the honors finals night) 7, Santa Clara Vanguard - Alot of people had them top 3 contenders after last year, BUT this is step to far in the arty department, judges are struggling to place the show despite improvements in performance, shame as the talent is there. 8, Blue Stars - not as fun as last couple of years but the corps is peaking in its talent. 9, Blue Knights - roots musical program and performing very well 10, Boston Crusaders - fine but not the buzz or the challenge of 'The Core of temptation' 11, Glassmen - The hotdog corps of 2010 but they have a finals callibar feel to them this year 12, Madison Scouts - There back, stripped everything away to drum corps purest form, a big tick from the judges. 13, Academy 14, Troopers 15, Colts 16, Spirit 17, Crossmen
