Maybe, but from what I’ve seen and heard...for a number of years...the Scouts are a class act, regardless of placement. They are just as worthy an option as all the others...maybe more so.

I thought my comment did just that? I guess my follow up question would be...What's been holding you back from suggesting the Scouts in lieu of the other corps you mentioned? Certainly geography (and likely money) enter in to the equation but, aside from that, what's been holding you back?

Well....it's hitting the easy button to go to an already successful top 6 corps. That’s not stepping out of one’s comfort zone. Would those corps be top 6 without your students? Likely yes. I would prefer they go help a corps get from 13 to 12...or 12 to 10, etc.

Thank you for the rosy outlook! That’s a pretty low score coming out the gate. I’m surprised at the Perc score. I saw them rehearse a few days ago and I thought they sounded better than last year at this time. Same for the guard...better than last year. First show jitters?

I assume this likely has to do a lot with funding as corporations may not want to fund male-only (or female-only) groups.

They could maybe redo this show!!!

Modernize the Superman Suit...let the color guard dress the theme...like the Cavaliers!

Got to see a bit of today's prelims rehearsal....compared to last year, today seemed more energetic and positive. A good thing and certainly helps in the reach for finals!

Relampago was not even close to this show. Now, with that said, this show is not close to being a fan favorite...but it is ballsy (if that's appropriate) and I appreciate that. Hopefully they can grow from this. Also...I think it's odd that there aren't many videos on YouTube. Don't know if that's meaningful in any way.

Head up Massachusetts Ave. Lots of choices...many price ranges. Pubs, eateries, ice cream, cupcakes, Starbucks, etc.

And...why the lack of YouTube videos? Seems odd.

Ok Scouts.....time to plug in a little more GE Music (Part Tres). Plenty of room in the fleur section. Maybe some synth (as much as I prefer no synth!)...with some Scouts music of the past? Don't really know...but a something needs to be added to get them across the finish line. And....hold that last note even longer!

Would be really cool if Madison would add some canned Scouts sound during the fleur. Maybe a Slaughter reference? Something is still missing in there...would certainly help that move pop.

No...not going to happen. Madison has better horns and perc. Enough to edge out the Mandarins by a point or so.

Watching Mandarins right now...and having trouble understanding how they are within a point of the Scouts. Just seems slow and easy. But...I am looking forward to seeing them in Indy. Seeing them in person may help my opinion. But right now...Scouts have my vote.

Since the new guy, Academy, made it last year...it's time for the Scouts to get back in there. No diss to Mandarins...Scouts have the more complex show...plus better perc and brass.

Last year should have been a tie...Scouts and BAC. They both had shows deserving of the 12 placement. Mandarins and Scouts may be in same boat this year. Scouts, to me, have the edge. Better horns and perc. Show is more taxing...so they should get in. They need to hold that last note a bunch longer!!!
