My first time watching the Cavaliers since their opener. They have put together a nice traditional show and spread out the field well. Their percussion is certainly clean but not attention grabbing to me.

Even with SCV and SCV Cadets out- I have to say the top 22 or so corps are all amazing. I want Madison, SOA, BK, PC Crossmen, and the troopers all in the top 12 and Music City in the top 15. Obviously statistically impossible but all of these corps are bringing it tonight.

Most if not all of them. I was just scanning ordinals for GE and visuals and BD is very good with having the number "1" there.

I do admit there were some killer cords in dreams and nighthawk that only BD can pull off.

Here's the thing about BD in LOS 09 Crown wins music and brass 10 4th in percussion and a show notorious for being hated on 12 Crown wins brass and music analysis 14 can't argue here 15 3rd in brass 17 3rd in music- doesn't win a music caption 19 4th in brass AND music analysis 22 3rd in brass and percussion 23 didn't win any music captions at southwest championship even though they have a healthy lead. The core of DCI fans and perspective members are musicians first. And BD just isn't dominant in music. It's easy to hate when your favorite corps sounds better than BD and can't beat them

Haha 2007- agree 2009- disagree. Great jump for Crown but not quite a championship show. 1930 is really cool BTW. 2010- mad world ❤️ 2012- Crown won in my heart but shot themselves in the foot with percussion. 2015- literally any of 4 corps could have won. Any of them. And it was a weak BD show comparatively until they brought the live little girl in- bit still not a tie breaker for me. 2017- disagree oroboros was executed well but a snoozefest. ...it is from Crown was awful. I'm much more upset about the cavies over bloo. BD earned this one. 2019- this is Bluecoats highest scoring show of all time. Just sayin' 2022- BD weathered the pandemic the best and showed it. Bluecoats were good but the show was a little too extra and BAC needed more with the design. I do think this year is like 2015 where any of 4 shows could win. BD has the gap right now and they did start off the season stronger than the other 3 making it hard to catch up. But they are all great shows with extremely talented MMs. Crown deserves a medal this year with a great, entertaining show and smooth as butter hornline. There is work to do though. The competition is stiffer with Boston in the mix.

We saw 2015 live in Massillon and my husband says it's the best DCI show he has seen live and his favorite show of all time. He marched (not Crown) in 01. 2015 is one of those special shows that will go down on history as one of the best shows that didn’t win.

The narration and the reading of the piece itself is not an issue. It helps provide context to the show them. It's the repeating "a chappel" over and over and over. The way the show is written to illustrate the poem is wonderful.

They took the guard caption last night! Wow! The repetitive chappel narration has got to go. It was just in one part but it was beating a dead horse and couldn't hear the hornline over it. Reminded me of the monotony of Crowns narration last year.

The caption rankings blew my mind. I was completely wrong in my ordinals with all 3 captions.

I'm thinking 1st in brass and was thinking 5th in percussion until I saw the Cadets somewhat disappointing score so I will say 4th but with a spread between 3 and 4. Guard 2 or 3 Amazing show Best top 4 since 15 and I like all of these shows better than the Power of 10
