  1. Lol obviously this was for crownbeat. But it's Crowns home show so I'm leaving it
  2. Watching the rebroadcast. MALAGUENA YEAH! THEY ARE GETTIN IT!
  3. That would fall too much on the camera crew and their focus is not always in the right place. I feel that visual performance is already mostly judged from a "multi-cam" perspective. Watching today's shows in high cam is nothing like watching the 06 Cavaliers.
  4. This show definitely has the most legs since 2016. 2017 was awful I loved 2018 but there really wasn't much to it. 2019 was pretty plain 2022 was a bit annoying Crown has always had the best hornline since at least 2012 when Phantom started to dive- I just want the glory and genius show writing- The captivation and awe that 2012 and 2015 brought me. šŸ˜
  5. I'd like to see all 4 corps take a different caption.
  6. Lol Chief. I really thought this post was going to be a BD 3peat prediction. 08 was a great season! I didn't like 13 as much. The sheets don't think so but I feel the strongest year in the LOS Era was 2015. I do hope the prelims to finals run is as exciting as 2015. BD gets 4th in prelims (on a penalty but still) and skyrockets to 1st. Cadets start in 2nd and finish 4th.
  7. Lol yes. Other than Blue Stars Brass being Underrated the past few nights (obviously didn't see the show tonight) I can get on board with the captions though.
  8. Nah. Hornline balance is completely different. BD is very soprano and top heavy while the Bluecoats love their tenor voices. BD pit has their own sound too that is unique to them. Bluecoats show is very programmatic while BDs is very abstract. I would say Bluecoats are more of a modern Madison- writing shows bound to be a fan favorite that are very accessible while BD is BD.
  9. Troopers Carolina Crown BDB Phantom sounds awesome, Bluecoats have an amazing ballad and once the closer is tuned it will probably be one of my favorites. Boston and Cadets looked cool but I was doing something else while I had them on my phone- so the jury is still out. Looking forward to hearing from MCDC, BK, Crossmen, Madison, SOA.
  10. Yes! Everyone looked and sounded šŸ‘ I have Mandarins behind BS so far on my armchair scorecard and Phantom in 5th. 5th place down to the Troopers are incredible and excited to see how the shows develop and grow!
  11. The corps that usually finish in the 13-25 range are soo good. I enjoyed PC, Academy, Gold, and BDB as much if not more than BDA and Mandarins
  12. BD is great! Going to be hard to compete with their gaurd and percussion. They also have an enormous hornline. Show design is an eyeroll...but that's typical for my opinion of BD
  13. That's a pretty strong opening score Boston!
  14. It's tough with the top 4 being so strong. Boston is on a run and my pick for the gold The Bluecoats are hot as always And no one puts BD in 4th like no one puts baby in the corner
  15. I do agree. Phantom brought the house down tonight- while Crowns show is still a little flat. Crown should definitely be ahead of Phantom- but I thought it would be closer I also want to congratulate Crown for #1 in Percussion tonight. Usually a glaring weakness.
  16. Yes. Blue Stars Brass is clean and beautiful. Cavies have a lot of cleaning to do.
  17. Crown has a nice gap over the field so far.... I am looking forward to seeing how the top 3 from 2022, Mandarins, and Cadets stack up against this group.
  18. I did like the beast- but this is the best Crown show since relentless. Hope they can clean and bring it together. Brass is king as always
  19. Hoping Phantom are earning themselves a top 6 finish. Best show of the night.
