  1. That is Noel Perez. He marched Bass Drum in 1985-86 and marched snare in 1987-89. Actually our first competition show was at the Harvard, Illinois Milk Days. Marcia received a huge milk can for a trophy. The Bloomington Show was the fourth show of the year (I think) which was a huge improvement over the previous shows.
  2. Phantom Regiment: 1976-1983 Marty Hurley, 1984-1985 Mike Mann, 1986 Lalo Davila, 1987-1992 Marty Hurley, 1993-1995 Jeff Prosperie, 1996-1997 Lee Beddis, Kirk Gay Hope this helps.
  3. As a member of the 1985 Phantom Regiment it is always great hear from people who loved the show. We were such a young corps that year with 90 rookies including me. I remember our first performance of the show in front of a judging panel was an exhibition in Wisconsin. We were phasing from the first moment of the show to the end and everyone was so frustrated. The staff didn't tell us the score we received. The show finally started to click by 2nd tour out East and the judges noticed it big time. The Semifinal show was really emotional especially when we changed the last 6 moves of the show and added the "gong drums". As for a modern version of the show I would love to see that, but it would be difficult to do a whole show based on it. Dr. Dan was asked numerous times about doing Symphony Fantastique again and he always said the same thing, "There is a reason why we have not". Once again thanks for the comments.
