I enjoyed the 2021 season too, but to me, it was basically corps playing fan favorites, along with some classic pop hits, thrown in to please the fans. I believe without competition, drum corps would devolve into college bands, playing songs most people love, and having drills like moving stick figures, or forming designs from pop culture that most people would recognize.

Wow! Thank you for sharing this story! I had no clue. My knowledge of DCI mainly comes from watching corps, on the small screen in the mid 1970's and from me marching in the early 1980's.

Hong Kong Drummers just performed. Their ages ranges range from 9 - 16-year-old. Rondo asked the 9 yo, "What is your favorite food?" He replied, "Vegetables."
