Oh boy ... not good. Tomorrow's line up is even better than tonight's.
+ perhaps even more important ... the Corps miss another chance for head-on-head competition & judges' feedback ... especially with DCI Finals two (2) weeks out from this evening. -

I agree. I flew into Eppley Airfield (Omaha Airport) right as Tornado alarms were going off in the area. We went from the aircraft to tornado shelters in the airport. Driving to the Base afterwards ... huge street signs on the highway RT. 75 were knocked over. Also remember the tornado drills each spring (April).

I was at one show at UNL {University of Nebraska - Lincoln} ... Memorial Stadium ... circa 2006/2007. The show never happened. Huge thunderstorms in the area 'just before' show was about to begin. Paper was flying "UP" to the sky. Drive back to the Base {Offutt Air Force Base} just south of Omaha was not very enjoyable.

Good luck on the farm today, Husker. I hope some of the moisture got to you. Kansas has been drying up pretty bad. Especially out west.
Heat wave is "finally" breaking today. Most of our fields are yellowish brown, but the hay is still being cut. We've added one more 250+ gallon water trough for our beef cows. Both troughs are filled several times a day. We're lucky our farm borders on a couple of creeks + we have a spring on our property. Hunting dogs aren't too crazy about this weather. We have "gigantic" fans in the barn for them. I still manage to take them out early each morning ... or should I say they take me for a walk each morning ... especially when they pick up a scent.

I still remember some of the Benedictine monks, who were my Professors. One, Fr. J., employed "the Bell Curve" in grading. Utmost respect for him. Loved the classes I took with him.

When I heard the announcer say Guardians were from "Dallas/Fort Worth" ... then saw it on the Flomarching screen ... it caught me off guard. I used the location posted on the DCI website. In fact the DCI Central Illinois competition, to be held Saturday, July 30th, still lists Guardians as coming from "Houston, TX". ... oh well ...

I definitely agree. Not sure about the exact temps in Nashua. I help manage & work on a 500+ acre farm in the Hudson Valley [New York] ... about 200 miles to the SE. Today, Sunday, July 24th is the 6th day of this "heat wave" [Temps in the 90s]. Not supposed to break until tomorrow, Monday, July 25th.
BTW. I graduated from St. A's [St. Anselm's College] just up the road in Manchester, NH. The Spartans & Elks Trojans held an annual show at Holman Stadium during the late 1960s / early 1970s. I still remember marching over the Pitcher's mound as the Timing Judge's gun went off at the end of our show. IF I'm not mistaken New London, CT had a Corps in the early 1970s called "the New London Surfers".

Anything is possible ... however I'll be curious to see how Spartans figure in the mix for the Open Class title this year.
IMO. There are some "great" shows/performances in this year's Open Class ... and I have not seen them all.
