Ouch. That one hurt.
No hurt intended, its just a matter to note. Coming into finals week undefeated or heavily favored (too many years to list) does not guarantee a championship.

Just posted over in SCV, but I can easily make an argument for why BD should win. First, nobody has beaten them yet. Case closed.
Ask the 1988 Devils if the case is closed...

1 year, is the rule. Should be 3, imo.
Perhaps this would stem the adjudicator/consultant merry-go-round and give more of an appearance of impartiality to scoring.

As I clearly stated THREE OR FOUR people are posting it. It's clear why you, being one of them are posting it, while an overwhelming majority (many of which have seen it in person) disagree completely.
As far as the humming is concerned...
Who hummed this on the way home? But, great show and a winner.
However, a great deal of people loved and hummed this show...

I'll take Crown, SCV, Cavilers, Cadets or Boston.

As we have all learned, people only like SVC and Bluecoats to spite Blue Devils. If they were truly capable of appreciating Blue Devils’ awesomeness, there would be no lines for all the other, undeserving corps polluting the field with that pedestrian puke called marching
Perhaps they just like the other corps better because of Blue Devil fans like you.

There was a very long line in San Antonio.
Their lines were also very long in Denton. Based on the souvenir booth lines, Bluecoats and SVC were the winners - by a mile, or however long 30-40 people lined-up is...

Possibly, but if the content (difficulaty?) doesn't change, then why do the content numbers go up. As a corps marches and plays better, the achievement scores should improve.
How insane would the Olympics be if a gymnastics routine, which has been the same, gets a new difficulty rating each round? ... it's nonsense for DCI to prentend that difficulty goes up 25 points in 7 weeks.

And there goes Flo! You were doing so well until now.
That's why I cancelled. Cellphone video is a better representation sound wise than FLO. FLO was always distorting the balance. Will try again next year.

Oh, how I long for the days when Bill Cook had PI's confront judges who were seen dinning with Hop. What would that kind of money turn up these days?

I'll take the judge's opinion over any DCPer. Just saying.
I presume you mean - in this case, not universally. Either way, just opinion.

Boston 2nd in guard. That's impressive.
Should have been first in guard. BD had numerous drops and insecure or wobbly catches.

That was so good, I had to steal it and use it on another social media site.

Last observation... The souvenir stand walk. SCV and Bloo packed. Bloo wins, they had current members in uniform taking pics with anyone who asked. Smart, very very smart.

Testosterone! But, not the replacement kind... geodesic domes are cool. Middle horns best in a decade. The three mountains need a color reversal, tge soloists and percussionist get lost. The guard is not timid, very secure in their being. Corps body movement is a bit amped. I can report the narration once again is far more balanced live. IMO, the vocal My Way doesn't add to the show, the horn blast of the same is priceless!

Enough Judging Conspiracy Theories
in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Posted
Agreed - I find that unless its the same panel or a dual panel with high-low averaging, or a change in how soon an active judge can consult a corps (currently one year off from judging) judging will seem to most as on a whim. Making the tapes public will not help, judges are very aware that tapes are made public.
Example, I was sitting right next to the Judging panel at the 2000 DCI Finals in DC, I wish I could find the judge's name next to me. I heard every word, as for her reaction and statements regarding the Cadets, I assumed she placed them first, not so. She literally was saying one thing and scoring another.
