  1. I'm really curious to see what they do from here as far as the uniform goes. They've been changing the uniform at least a little every year since 2007. Some of my favorites are when they have kept it show-themed, but simple (2007, 2008 2011, 2012, 2016 to an extent). I didn't dislike this year's uniform, but it was really busy and had a bit too much going on I thought. I hope they can find a good modern but simple look going forward.
  2. I'll admit that when people were predicting BAC in the top six back in May and June I thought they were crazy. I figured they would be 8th or maybe 7th at best. Man, they proved me wrong! They definitely won me over this year and I was thrilled to see them climb all the way to a much-deserved top six finish. I can't wait to see what they come out with next year and I'm hoping to see them continue to climb.
  3. I've wondered this myself. It seems to me like it would just be added stress to go out there, especially on finals night, and hope and pray that the mic doesn't mess up. I wouldn't be shocked at all though if Crown didn't have a mic'd soloist next year to avoid this happening again. I didn't see their finals run, but it sounds like the members didn't let this affect their performance that much, if at all (I'm sure it had to get in their heads though), so I'm glad they were able to keep putting on what sounds like an amazing performance!
  4. It's so hard to predict what they'll do next. This year's show seemed to be a love it or hate it type show (though thankfully it was more "love" later in the season as it became cleaner and started to finally come together). I'd love to see a show like 2007 or 2010. It's getting so difficult to climb in the rankings these days, but I'd be thrilled if they find themselves in the top six again.
  5. This was by far my favorite Phantom show since 2011. I really miss seeing them being competitive in the top six, but they'll get back there again some day. They may have gotten their lowest finals score in a very long time this year, but I believe they're on the right path to get back up to where they used to be. I believe this year was a very young corps, so I have high hopes for them in the next few years.
  6. It's so nice to see SCV in the top three again. They were SO close with their incredible Les Miserables show in 2013 and I'm glad they were able to get the silver this year. I'm rooting so hard for them to take home the championship again soon. Such an amazing year for the Vanguard organization and I can't wait to see what they do next year.
  7. I want Mandarins to make finals so bad, but at the same time after Madison's heartbreak last season I'm rooting for them as well. Man, if there was ever at tie for 12th, this would be the perfect time for that to happen. Either way it's been a historic season for Mandarins and I'd love to see them keep on improving and moving up!
  8. I live on the north side of Indy and I was so confused reading the comments about the weather and downpours until I looked at the radar...on the north side its sunshine and blue skies!
  9. It pains me to say it, but this year will mark the largest number of consecutive years that Phantom has failed to make the top six since first making finals in 1974 (the last streak was 1998-2000, then they returned to the top six in 2001). I'm hoping they can climb back up next year. Also, unless they break 90 in at least one show this weekend, this will be the first season they have failed to score 90 since 1986.
  10. Good Lord, there are so many excellent shows on this list. If I had several hours to kill, I could sit and watch all of these shows in a row and love nearly every one (Cadets 2004 is the only one I'm not so big on. I've tried...just can't get into that show). Phantom Regiment 2003 is my first ever "favorite show" that I fell in love with. Both Vanguard 2013 and Cadets 2015 are recent favorites that I listen to often. I feel Bluecoats 2006 is very underrated. I first saw the show in Evansville at one of my first ever live DCI shows that year and I immediately loved it (and nearly every one of their shows since). Phantom 2007 is another go-to that I listen a lot. Just recently I came across Vanguard 2001 and don't know why it took me so long to realize how much I loved that one. Heck, I even love that Blue Devils 2005 show. This is a difficult vote, but I had to go with 2003 Phantom.
