Yeah I’m a little surprised with what’s advanced so far. I did notice that half as many people voted the second round compared to the first so I think that greatly affected some things but that’s part of the “madness” right? 😁

Yes that was an error on my part! The graphic is correct with 1995 but I think I mistyped the date while looking at their counter part of cadets 2011. Unfortunately I can’t go back and change it but either way both are great shows!

Definitely agree but of course that’s the fun of it! A lot of these I had to watch for the first time so it was very interesting getting first read on them

I was very much thinking about making a 64 team bracket but wasn't sure how the idea would hold up or if anyone would be interested in the first place, plus running a bit tight on time as well needed to double the size right now for me. But possibly next year who knows! I really like those recommendations

Bloo 17 was the first to come to mind. Saw them at the premiere and thought to myself "Oh, they're gonna repeat". Sadly the show just ran out of steam and there wasn't really any saving it. I can remember Crown closing that gap on them the second show and just not having a great gut feeling about it. Crown 2014 as well. But that year seemed to loaded in the 1-4 spots.

So being a relatively new fan of DCI, I'm realizing I've missed out on a lot! In particular, the highs and lows that corps and fans a like go through as a season goes on. So being introduced to and seeing my first DCI show in 2015, and not really following the activity until the 2017 season, I've really only gotten to fully experience and track 2 seasons as a fan. So with all that being said, I was wondering out of the past 10 seasons to keep it pretty fresh and relevant, from 2009-2018, what has been your favorite season in that time span and why? Just to keep up some banter! I added a poll because I like to see things visually as well 😄 stay warm out there!

2 for 12 in my preseason finals prediction for last season so let's see how this goes 😄 1. Carolina Crown - Get their design issues worked out and make a run for gold 2. Bluecoats - Fix percussion "issues" from last season. Comes out with great show design and just edges out BD with possible late season surge 3. Blue Devils- BD will do what BD does but could their reign be over? Tight competition in top 3 pushes them to 3rd 4. Santa Clara Vanguard - Suffers usual fate of defending champs trying to recreate magic. Falls in 4th 5. Boston Crusaders - Continues putting out another great show but just isn't quiet ready to break into top 4 6. The Cadets - Another season under their belts after getting things worked out. Breaks back into top 6 but still a few seasons away from medal contention 7. The Cavaliers - Show design will hold them back unfortunately when all other sections can compete with anyone above 8. Blue Knights - Comes out with better show design but top 7 is too much for anyone to break into 9. Blue Stars - Continue to improve off of last year. Could see a tight battle between them and BK most of season 10. Phantom Regiment - Try and get things worked out from last year. BK and BS just a little too much for them to jump 11. Crossmen - Improve a little from last season. Still good brass sound 12. Mandarins - Golden child slips just a little bit trying a bit too hard and others fix their design issues. Still makes finals FInals Contenders: Spirit of Atlanta, The Academy, Madison Scouts I'm really shooting in the dark as I haven't read any corps news, staff changes, winter camps, or have any knowledge on what anyone is doing or has done but I'll probably do a updated one during spring training or after everyone has had their first show!

Both instances I could see very much happening which is crazy! I loved that you got this together! Makes this all the more fun when people participate and share thoughts! But more maybe even a more accurate outlook, what would the two theories look if combined? Would anything change? Or would it just be more like Theory 2?
