  1. As everyone else has said, get well soon! It's gonna be hard fighting off certain people tonight without your help! Lol.
  2. ######, the siren was muffled enough to make me think it was coming from outside. My crippled ### got a little worried for a split second. Lol.
  3. But they're not competing this year, so it can be done. Lol. Unless it's not a preset in the app, but rather a preset on the server, which is a possibility. The good news is that I think the sound system would drown out any random songs playing. It drowns out people talking unless they're right beside you. At least from my experience watch corps live.
  4. I was just discussing this with a friend, which is why I made the post. I understand why they continue to use Carolina in My Mind, but I do think if certain state have a song big enough for the local audiences to recognize it they should go for it. Yellow Rose of Texas, Sweet Home Alabama, Blue Moon of Kentucky, You and I (Nebraska), New York New York (or Empire State of Mind for the younger crowd), etc.
  5. Who wants to take bets that for the Texas tour the "favorite song" bit gets changed to The Yellow Rose of Texas? I could see it happening after Avon went down for the San Antonio Super Regional and did an on-field warmup with it with Matt Harloff at the helm.
  6. Oh I'm sure that's what it is. I was just wondering if she was actually going to make true on her promise to attend. It's not likely, but my mind got curious when one of her reaction videos popped up on my YouTube feed.
  7. This. 100% this! With an after show of her just freaking out. I do think a bit of her videos were played up in the beginning, but there was something endearing about her once she really started to understand the sport. I think in the end she really started to enjoy drum corps.
  8. I wasn't big on the 2006 show. 2005 is superior in my opinion. Not to diminish the 2006 show though.
  9. I always heard he wrote it on a napkin. I did know they practiced it until 3 am, and didn't use a drill chart. That move will forever live rent free in my mind. My favorite drill move of all time.
  10. Speaking of more popularity/exposure, does anyone know if Courtney Coulson is still planning on coming to finals this year? She hasn't posted a DCI video in quite a while. Wouldn't be surprised if she forgot about us. Lol.
  11. I still can't believe they don't play a single line from Jesus Jones. Big missed opportunity there in my opinion. Replace one of the "Right Here, Right Now"s with a Mello lick of the chorus or something.
  12. I knew about the wave, fish, and waterfall in 2005, but I don't think I ever noticed the faucet and showerhead. I'll have to go back and rewatch.
  13. Agreed. That BD show just felt so raw and authentic. I still have love for the Cadets that year, but I think this is the one and only time where I can honestly say I felt like BD got robbed.
  14. He was the legend who wrote the cross to cross drill for Star, and so many of the legendary Cadets drill moves from the 80s, particularly the Z pull. I'm a youngin, only 31, so if I need to be corrected then someone with more knowledge of that time can take over. That's just a small bit of info I know.
  15. If anyone is to pull off a Zingaliesque finishing touch, it's definitely going to be Sacktig. And that's not me being a homer, that's just me saying he knows his #### and is probably the closest thing we have to Zingali in todays modern drum corps.
  16. Crown has a history of reprising the opener during the closer, so I could see this happening.
  17. A frizzy, teased, big hair 80s show from BD? I'd be down for that. Something kind of like what Claudia Taylor Johnson did in 2016, but on a more grander scale.
  18. Last BD show I reach for is 2011. And that's not because I hate the current BD shows or anything, but that's the last time I truly remember feeling differently about a BD show. It's also the last one that I truly liked. Not liking something doesn't refer to hating it, just not my cup of tea. Folks need to realize that when you say you don't like something, it doesn't automatically mean you hate it.
  19. Someone somewhere has taken the directions from the back of the shampoo bottle too seriously. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
  20. Maybe they could play audio of them playing it from 2012 or 2013? Ya know, since recorded brass is where we're headed next supposedly. Lol.
  21. See, I thought at Finals they need to take the fakeout out after the countdown and just give us a fat hit like they did in 2014 after that countdown. Scare the #### out of everyone in attendance since it would be unexpected, and possibly win some GE points in the process. Lol.
  22. Some people are just messy. What was the point of bringing someones FB post/comment here, when they probably aren't even members? Does it make you feel good to make fun of a college student? Validation? Some people want to talk about bullies, then want to post stuff like this, react to it with a laughing face. Humility is much needed for several members of this forum.
  23. I'm starting to think Crown hurt some people in the past. The reaction out of some people...wew.
