Totally agree. Not everything can be fixed and one man really is at the center of it all. My fav show of their’s was 2015, boy they were movin like no other!!

Yes colts are one of the healthiest corps by financial security. But, that is no accident. The board and Vicki are freaking amazing leaders and all prioritize the member experience. I honestly wasn’t sure if they’d ever get here but when I think closely - it was bound to happen. The organization is too strong and design team they have now too good. This reminds me of when DB rose to power in 2016. The organization was super strong, all it took was Wes Cartwright to catapult them to finals in BOA. Kind of what happened here

Dude their show may have the listening responsibilities demand, but certainly not the sheer content demand that other horn lines have. And honestly the trombone thing after the ballad sounds bad - not using good tone or air. Crown BD and Boston all have more demand

I really do think BD takes it, but they won’t have such a big gap as last year, maybe half a point or less. The first 3 movements are SO good. Just incident in jazz is a little weird. But still I think they’ve probably got it. I see Crown and Boston in 2nd /3rd. I think it may come down to who REALLY wants it. Boston has two issues IMO. One, the first half of the show is not as compelling as the back half. Second, they’ve been squeaky clean for some time now. Unless they’ve radically changed something in the design of the show since, I think they may be 3rd as they’ve maxed out their GE. Other than that I think it’s a flawless production. I could see Crown really wanting this. I do think they’ve got a HARD show with pretty much the full package (for once). The music is beautiful, orchestral, and outside of BD the most effective. I think their weakness is in the drill (it’s a little odd at times and difficult in parts that don’t need to be). But if the drill is clean clean clean- I don’t think it will matter. I actually think concept wise it’s fine, sometimes it doesn’t need to be any deeper than it is yall. I just think this show has the emotional effect to bring them the silver - but they HAVE to achieve. There can be no mistakes. the bluecoats show is not my cup of tea but I wish them the best. Crown I think can clench 2nd and even get close to 1st. But they HAVE to be on it. Especially drill and those super long runs. Sell me crown! The effect is in the music!

I feel like BD deserves this win, but incident in Jazz needs to be cleaner. It feels forced. If you listen to the 2010 recording on Spotify it doesn’t sound as clean as that

I think the cadets show has really come along!! i think the 20 second tuba feature is really overpowered by the battery (particularly snares) The Batman ballad seems really short?? That piece is really pretty and it seems rushed Jay Bocook The end is REALLY hard. I think it’s clean they just need a little more gas in the tank

And get every time we hear this someone comes on here and says they have like 3 members per corps lol
