  1. Not sure about "dark" but more abstract. I really have no idea what most of these show announcements will produce. Straight forward shows are rare like Les Mis or Bluecoats Beatles themed show.
  2. They did do their 2016 show based on a particular painting. This one sounds a bit more comprehensive. I have to say I love the Grand Canyon Fanfare. I'm sure another corp did this in the past but that fanfare is very drumcorpish style.
  3. It's also interesting on their Website their show still says "Coming Soon". Maybe that's why there is little chatter. So there is NO official show announcement from PR. Just chatter.
  4. Of course it will. I can't wait until the season starts and we can really get into everyone's skin.
  5. I can see that. The guy they got was pretty good. Reminded me of the opening of from John Carpenter's The Fog from early 80's with John Houseman telling a spooky tale.
  6. Wow...that's a big spread in age. That would be like we're looking for a male 10-40 years old.
  7. Of course, it's a 3peat. There was no season in 2020 and no competitive season in 2021. I don't think anyone will say differently. Otherwise, they will have to say who won in 2020 and 2021.
  8. I'm assuming all corps a gunning for the top 3 if not the top spot.
  9. You have it all planed out even who does what at finals. That's fun. A Fantasy but fun.
  10. So with SCV out this year BD won't be challenged until DALR. The history of these two has always been a guide on how good one is against the other. Nothing against the Mandarins or anyone else on the Wcoast but will be a different vide at all of the CA shows this year. Will SCV have their souvie truck at any show locations in CA or beyond?
  11. So this worries me about the state of SCV and their organization. We don't know what is happening to their non-profit situation. But it's clear that is not good given what was shown. But maybe it's being cleared up or some attempt to. But the leadership is what concerns me. This mess has to be cleaned up before anyone wants to take charge and move forward. I just don't see them back in 2024...if ever.
  12. They haven't used Mars for years. It's more the B and C corp. My guess for Wyoming is to have everyone in one location (dorms) than spread around the Concord area and members looking for housing.
  13. BD again is in Wyoming for about 3.5 weeks late May-mid June.
  14. Might have. She did a pretty good job at recovery. The fall is at 1:36.
  15. According to the Troopers website he's listed and head percussion arranger and designer. Don't think this is a summer off if he's listed as the main percussion guy.
  16. You have our permission to head up this start up. Good luck.
  17. My Flomarching includes the WGI championships and it was a blast seeing this. Some of the shows are very creative and really impressed on the precisions of the marching drummers. One bass person fell from RCC and man it's not easy to get up fast carrying a bass drum while trying to get up.
  18. It's nice to reminisce about the good old days of but those days long gone. CA has kinda done that circuit type tours of shows up and down the state for open class corps. Some eventually will go to Indy but for some it;s about a 6-10 show season.
  19. I found this snip it about what can happen if you don't register. What Happens If Your Nonprofit Does Not Register There can be harsh consequences if your nonprofit fails to file the annual renewal after being requested to do so by the Attorney General. Namely: the California Franchise Tax Board will be notified to disallow your nonprofit's state tax exemption your nonprofit will be billed $800 plus interest by the Franchise Tax Board, which represents the minimum tax penalty, and late fees of $25 will be imposed by the Registry of Charitable Trusts for each month or partial month for which the reports are delinquent. Moreover, your nonprofit's directors, trustees, officers, and return preparers responsible for the failure to timely file these reports are personally liable for payment of all late fees and penalties. Charitable assets cannot be used to pay them. In other words, they must pay them out of their own pockets!
  20. So the bottom line is and was always...it's not about the "money" or lack of it...it's the mismanagement of the organization. That's why I didn't donate any money to their situation because I never believed it was just about that.
