  1. I don't think BD needs a 3 beat to say anything about them. Let the Cavies and Cadets have that honor.....THAT being said I see a three peat in in 2023 as a possibility and they will be the strong favorites in 23. Staff turn around does mean a lot. You don't see that in the BD world.
  2. Cadets won all of their titles based on their style...same with SCV, Cavies, PR and Madison. And BD does not have to wear pajamas as unis to be cutting edge. That's not cutting edge.
  3. Congrats to the Bluecoats on the Fred Sandford Percussion award. There were 4 corps up for that and they took it. And their first performance caption other than GE for them.
  4. I had a work engagement yesterday, so I missed all the fun. I'll watch the re-broadcast, but I did watch just watched the retreat show on YouTube and wow the Cavies took a scoring hit. It looked like they were pulling away from Mandarins and PR and wham.
  5. I see BAC as a real challenge to BD. And I say that because they take their guard seriously like BD has always done. And this year they edited their props from past years. They look clean and efficient.
  6. 3 peats will just tie them with Cadets and Cavies. They want the 4 peat.
  7. When they win # 20 I give 90 percent to the teaching staff. This group is mostly non-vets and of course have come from other corps but still to gel this group to the level they are in is pretty darn amazing.
  8. It's possible because Cadets in 2005 went from 98.3ish to 99.150.
  9. I can see that. Cavies are hitting their groove at the right time. They look smooth and tight. Percussion is strong. After their setback I'm impressed.
  10. The question is will they break into the 99 point scoring range. I think they will but not top 99.65. 99.175 is my guess.
  11. The two placements that are up for grabs for finals are 2nd and 3rd and 11th and 12th. Looks like everyone else is locked in their placements. Captions for grabs is percussion. BD... brass, visual, GE. Guard... BAC.
  12. I remember the first leaked videos of BD in Wyoming had some on here saying BD is done and out of the top 3. HA....undefeated and #20 is tomorrow. It was never in doubt. And this is a rookie corp. Scary for next year.
  13. Troopers probably the most improved corp this season. They started out late and I think lost to The Academy off the bat and 5 points behind BK. Now in finals. And a terrific show.
  14. To me the two corps that utilizes their props best this year are top 2…BAC and BD. Same in 2019 with BD and Coats.
  15. They won a sub caption in visual but 3rd overall in total visual but still to beat BD in visual is pretty good.
  16. I will definitely miss his knowledge and face of drum corp. He knows this activity from top to bottom and it was always a pleasure to hear him talk.
  17. Tammy Faye? Are you referring to the person from 2019? No more Dennis?...
  18. I'm sure a lot of people would love that, but NO. Cadets should have won but that's me.
  19. I'm not going to a theater this year but question...Is the theater showing the same as Flo? Meaning when the top 15 starts today does that mean Flo marching tap into what people are seeing in the theater commentary and all.
  20. Considering covid it's still pretty good. Comparing to professional sports teams....MLB 30, NFL 32, NBA 30.
  21. Open Class prelim is on Flo today but so are two world class competitions so yeah...take your pick on what you want to watch or go back and forth.
  22. You just stated what happened in 2019. But 2022 BD is winning GE, brass and back and forth with percussion.
