  1. Maybe they're sitting around the campfire burning past financial documents. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  2. They're advertising or recruiting for more students to audition for brass on their social media accounts, so somethings up...
  3. Not sure why they really need the funds. Didn't they strike oil in '22? They should pay the members to march with their oil profits. ๐Ÿ˜‚ (I kid)
  4. And I say 29 tubas is a good start. Need to march about, say, 32? ๐Ÿ˜
  5. "Would you like your audio performance downloads with or without sound?" Kind of like a Philly Cheesesteak: "wit or witout". ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  6. My only experience of 'hell' in Indy has been the St Elmo's shrimp cocktail. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜
  7. This has been a question of mine since it was disclosed on this forum. How on earth can you run this type of operation remotely from the 50th state of the USA? @Richard Lesher Surely they would have to make periodic trips to the bingo operation facility & some of the board meetings? (Are the board meetings in person or are they performed virtually?) ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  8. One of my favorites during their first contract year was the sideline camera zooming in on the guard equipment exchange behind the flats. Guard member was kneeling down behind the flat for a flag swap & happened to look up at the camera. Her face was like 'what the hell'? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚
  9. Purchased Muncie tickets again; I love watching Crown rehearse preseason. Didn't go last year & regret not making the trip with that incredible 2023 horn line. Thinking about going on up to Michigan for the premiere, but that's another 8-10 hours drive time. Still have time to decide. Also purchased the all-age tickets. Had a $10 discount from DCI but of course, the code wouldn't work in Ticketmaster. Shocked! ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  10. That would probably work if you take a good cardboard box & pack some beanee weanees. Find a good location under the ArtsGarden or overpass. โœ…
  11. Wow; found this forum via google. I'm sure there's more info but that first plan seems like a 'bone head' decision by the band director. https://www.txbands.com/forums/topic/15470-discontinuing-color-guard/
  12. No way, this would never happen. Shocked! ๐Ÿ˜‚
  13. You need to 'gird your loins' & drop by the SCV 2024 thread.
  14. Mega Monday December 4th! https://dci.org/news/mega-monday-tickets-to-20-dci2024-events-on-sale-dec-4?utm_source=sfmc&utm_medium=email
  15. Wow, thanks for the info & clarification. That's interesting for a Texas program. We have majorettes, dance line, & color guard, otherwise know as the auxiliaries. (I can never remember if auxiliary is one "L" or two "Ls".)
  16. Reminds me of Bancorp Bank & their commercial jingle. Ear worm! ๐Ÿ˜‚
  17. Adding to my comment (it's early): I meant to say many schools in our area have added dance teams that are not associated with the band or cheer programs. This is probably a recruiting technique by re-marketing the 'brand' of color guard. I was thinking the comment but it didn't make it to print. (needs more coffee) Dance ensembles, studios, etc, have really become popular over the past decade & there is a limited amount of cheer positions. I think this maybe to appeal to those other students involved in their schools's dance teams?
  18. I think this is just a change in the "labeling" or marketing of the ensemble. I'm sure the "Dance Company" will still utilize all weapons (equipment) at their disposal. (We have dance line members that also perform & compete with our winter guard.) Just my thoughts & opinion. ๐Ÿค” ex: historical titles such as flag corps = color guard, etc...
  19. Steering back to topic: from all indications from their social media accounts, the camps seem to be going well. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  20. Semi retired here. Sometimes semi-work & sometimes semi-rest. I lean toward the latter. โœ…
