  1. The future of DCI requires that many additional components are able to support the activity outside of those that immediately support people marching together on a football field. The continuity of DCI, even for a "bridge" tour season, requires that those components be in place. Safely in place. You want paying fans? Ensure safety. We have a winter to get through in a period where infections are rising. Everywhere.
  2. Someone I know tested positive and was asymptomatic. 6 weeks later he now has reduced lung capacity.
  3. I have found very few K-cup coffee brands that taste good using a Keurig. Dunkin Donut's Keurig cups create colored water. McDonald's Keurig cups create colored water. I ended up getting reusable cups and buying ground coffee. That made a difference.
  4. Jim - by chance do you have a Keurig? I find the coffee weak with them. I have to get dark roast to even come close to "normal" yet it's not the same. This may explain why you are so patient. You drink a lot of coffee but it's not the same amount of caffeine.
  5. I would love to visit Australia one day. People there seem so interesting. I have a friend in Sydney. I know there are internet memes about spiders the size of dinner plates there, but after awhile I felt comfortable asking him... "Mark, do you have those large Huntsman spiders in Sydney?" His reply....."Funny you ask that, I was watching TV a few days ago and saw something moving out of the corner of my eye.....it was a Huntsman that had gotten into my apartment and was crawling on the floor..." He had to get a newspaper and sneak up on it. He said he would have tried to scoop it up and let it outside but they apparently move very quickly and can easily hide. I don't think knowing it was still in the apartment would help me sleep. He assured me they don't bite, but somehow that doesn't make me feel better. I reminded him that when I visit he needs to make sure his apartment does not have any Huntsman spiders.
  6. It seems genuine to me. I don't think she's a graduate of the "Ali MacGraw School Of Fine Acting." I could listen to that accent all day. Something about the Aussie/New Zealand accent that is so nice.
  7. I think your objective was understood. We live in strange times. We use the past as reference to understanding the instability of the present.
  8. Polio I understand but I wasn't there during the emergency. I was not there as well for the initial thalidomide problem but I have also been affected by those that were exposed. We have even had outbreaks recently of some diseases that we initially thought were confronted but that were due to anti-vaxers having caused flair-ups (measles comes to mind).
  9. Thank you. Your response is greatly appreciated. Yes, I lost you. I lost you a while ago.
  10. Jeff Ream brought up some very good points about the ramification of the current situation in other threads.
  11. Jim I knew what you were referencing in this day and age of a pandemic. We can pretend otherwise with some posters. Weather related phenomenon have affected the activity since the beginning.
  12. I actually have a YouTube channel that specializes in watching the reaction of people eating lime flavored Jello. Some of the reactions are quite funny and many of them are clearly fake as you see people putting all sorts of stuff in the Jello that tends to affect the purity of the flavor. I got a very good grade on that part of my studies.
  13. Perhaps you are right. She used all the millions from her DCI video watching to buy florescent lime-green nail polish so we could track the movement of her hands as she reacts to various shows. It makes her reactions more effective. But that is what I see as during University I thoroughly studied the use of visible nail polish when reacting to videos. Some would say I am a specialist in the same way there are body language specialists.
  14. As expected, the replies are weather related. Perhaps not wanting to die from lightning and tornadoes is considered "health" as in "I do not want to die from being flung off the field when an F5 Tornado barrels through the stadium." Corps have had ailments go through on multiple occasions. I think they have dealt with them well. But with Covid-19 the ramifications are much more complicated.
  15. Do you think she isn't impressed with what she sees? We are all impressed. We have always been impressed. Ever bring a rookie viewer to a show and had them blown away by what they saw?
  16. So easy to not think about advances in science and medicine. My father's sister died very young from an ear infection. There were no antibiotics then. Now we take things like this for granted.
