Just going to throw this out there, and call me a hater if you must, but if BD wins again this year - ESPECIALLY if its by multiple points - I'm probably going to take some time away from the activity. Its so boring if the same person wins each year, whether or not its because they are the "best". I understand how the scoring works and I'm not saying someone who is "worse" should win for the sake of it, but honestly, with a judgement based system, without points being scored, etc. Its simply boring and potentially rigged. And quite honestly it's aggravating to watch. I doubt the activity will miss me, but ill be over it as I have better things to do with my time these days than hope another corps finally gets a better judgement than BD. my two pents. Have a nice day.

I have loved the bluecoats since 2012 when I saw their show unmasqued for the first time. Feels like forever ago at this point. Its such a different product over these last few years, but also feels very bluecoats - classy, elegant, groovy, fun, poised. Ill be seeing them in texas at some point again after this kickoff, can't wait to see how the show grows. Wow I can't wait to talk to everyone. Its giving me 2014 vibes all over again!

I cannot wait for tomorrow so that we can all talk about this show. already turning out to be one of my favorites, so many great moments, such a fun design, one more day!!!

I just caught some of this show on youtube tonight and all I can say is WOW. I really have come to love SOA these last few years and was really sad to hear they were not going to be fielding a show last year after their positive upward trajectory. The music is really great and wow that mello line! I think their ballad will shine come the end of the season and if they can button some things up it will be a great show no matter where it lands. So happy to see them back!

Love phantoms show, but stars have a lot more room to grow with this vehicle. As much as I want Phantom to be back up there, I think stars show tops them this year. Both super enjoyable shows.

Uni’s are definitely something to behold. Very excited to see the whole product, music is wild, visually will be very interesting, but the guard part especially caught my attention. Should be fun to see bluecoats with an emphasis on equipment work.

Ended up at cavies rehearsal today on accident (went to the show site in our uber instead of a different corps housing site of whom I shall not name) and fell in love with the cavaliers. I’ve always liked them but being at their practice was eye opening to how hard they work and how nice of people they are. Had me rooting for them tonight and maybe a cavies fan for the rest of the season/life. Interesting how things work out. Was in line after the show for the necessary whataburger and a cavalier let me go ahead of him. Good kids, good staff. Love to see it. I think they gained a new fan tonight.

I DM’d their Instagram and she said she’d post if it was closed and they haven’t as of yet.
