  1. Bloooo is carrying these shows with GE and visuals.
  2. I know all corps have their ups and downs...but its so strange seeing Phantom not as a top 5 contender.
  3. As a long time Bluecoats fan who grew up in Canton Ohio, this show is kind of a throwback to the Coats I remember back in the late 80's and early 90's. Fantastic solos, screaming high notes, sexy low brass, toe tapping familiar songs. Unfortunately the Coats at that time were competing to break the top 12 then a few years later the top 5, but they were easily one of the crowd favorites night after night because of their fun shows. The evolution of Drum Corps in my opinion started around 2002 with the Cavies Framework and really furthered it even more with Machine in 2006. Where athleticism really started to take center stage, along with more modern style movements and break neck marching. It took the Bluecoats a bit to catch up to this new era, but they did, and did they ever...with Tilt. This years show kind of combines both eras. I wonder though...There seem to be a lot of standstills...well dancestils in this show. I feel like it lacks those wow marching moments. While the show as a whole is visually stunning, and a huge amount of fun, it doesnt have any standout moments of amazing marching or formations. It seems like its too late in the season to be adding those. Maybe its just me. The new ending is fun, but most of the corp is just saying right where they ended, I feel like there is more to this ending then what we have seen, perhaps they are rolling it out in steps. Anyhow. I love the Coats and I love the show, but I think they need a bit more to take home the gold. Either way, the group of kids in the purple shirts clearly enjoyed this show!
