  1. It’s hard to believe much of the dreck corps play nowadays is even copyrighted by so called “composers”. id rather see the activity expand and explore with original music and youth activity friendly composers.
  2. I would not be surprised if unavailable drum corps recordings/videos get new releases via “European” grey market distributors. If there is a demand, there will be a supplier...
  3. I believe original music compositions is the future of drum corps. It is becoming increasingly common to hear corps performing original music, composed specifically for the corps. I believe corps will be rewarded for original music within the scoring system. It’s a great opportunity for growth and advancement of the activity. What do you think about this?

DVD/blu-ray edits Sourced from the dci store web site: 2008: a one minute-14 second segment of the performance of the Phantom Regiment 2011: A portion of the video during the Madison Scouts performance is blacked out. The audio of the performance remains fully intact during the final two minutes of the production. 2012: The Cadets: 6 seconds of video and audio of unlicensed, pre-recorded material has been removed The Cadets: 31 seconds of audio of unlicensed, pre-recorded material has been muted. The video of this segment is provided in its entirety. Spirit of Atlanta: 19 seconds of video and audio of unlicensed, pre-recorded material has been removed. 2013: Approximately 25 seconds of poetry has been omitted from the Boston Crusader's performance. 2015: Blue Devils: approximately 60 seconds of the corps’ performance, including a pre-recorded audio segment, has been omitted Blue Knights: approximately 47 seconds of pre-recorded audio has been omitted Phantom Regiment: approximately 47 seconds of pre-recorded audio has been omitted The Cavaliers: approximately 2 minutes and 25 seconds of corps' performance has been omitted. 2016: The Cavaliers: Approximately 30 seconds of pre-recorded audio has been removed The Academy: Approximately 45 seconds of corps' performance has been omitted Due to copyright compliance considerations, the “jingles” segment of The Cavaliers had to be edited.
