  1. New Development to this trial. DCI Has filed their "Answer to Complaint", wherein they deny all claims made by the plaintiff relating to DCI. And Interestingly, and I don't know if I have read this same phrase in any of the other documents I've read, they seem to be claiming that the case itself holds no ground because retroactively extending statute of limitations is in violation to the constitution of both the USA, and New Jersey. Hopefully this image helps y'all understand more about the case a little.
  2. Exactly. Unless the plaintiff has some heavy evidence proving that DCI was aware of the events and took no action, DCI would be dismissed from the case. If that were the case, and it seems like it might be seeing as we now have that dismissal notice for garfield, it’s more probable that they are hoping DCI will settle out of court and before the trial. Nobody is questioning anything.
  3. I would say we shouldn't put too much thought into the whole Tennessee thing. I have a few reliable sources suggesting that it was just a corps director blowing hot air. Secondly, if it were to happen, it wouldn't be "the cadets", it would be another pre-existing corps adopting the title.
  4. Agreed on that front. The fact that DCI has been added to the suit this late in the process makes me suspicious that they may be just fishing for some type of settlement.
  5. Uh a little. there’s a ton of documents. I suppose the important ones would be the summons issued to DCI in december of last year. And the docket which schedules the the settlement conference for april. If there’s something specific you have in mind let me know.
  6. The dismissal reads only as Garfield Cadets. Given that CAE is a third party defendant I would assume that by dismissing the primary party, all other parties would also be dismissed. However the plaintiff has 60 days to fix this. The Settlement meeting is in april so there’s a possibility that the prosecution uses this as a bargaining chip, but I’m not a lawyer so I’m really not sure. I’ll send the dismissal notice in a bit.
  7. Don't bother. I set up an account with the new jersey superior court and have access to the documents that that site locks behind a paywall. Let me know what documents you want and if allowed I'll post them here
  8. I noticed that there wasn’t a thread on this corps yet this season, so I am starting one now. Pacific Crests show is entitled Goddess and having seen one of their rehearsals and looking at their amount of vets I think this may be one of the corps that we should watch out for this season.
  9. Did Pacific Crest cease to exist? or did they REEAALLY fall out?
