The Crown ballad is the hardest thing put on the field this season. Unreal

Crown fans only know major scales up and down as fast as possible, triple tonguing exercises, and Bb major chords, not their fault just how they’ve been conditioned 😜

Only 2 corps performed full shows in front of judges. Blue Stars, Phantom, and Boston were standstill due to rain

Yeah for all of the talk about judge bias towards BD, the most biased judge in the activity is one who always skews numbers in favor of crown

Blue Knights Blue Devils win while losing every caption solely because of strong 2nd place finishes in everything while the corps around them are more volatile. They will lose one or two of the three nights but this corps knows how to handle big moments and will come out on top. Top 4 all within a half point. A bold prediction? Quite. The most humorous outcome? Definitely. I don’t want to jinx it for the corps currently sitting 2-4 😉

It’s too late, they’re going to move the goal posts and claim that they never said 2 points, only that they’d win in the end.

Blue Devils won only 2 captions, tied another, and their fans will still not accept that they can be conquered this season. This is probably the most competitive season of the activity in over 10 years. Amazing how much has changed in one week.

It is a 4 corps race for 1st Don’t live in denial BD fans. Just embrace it. And if you win, feel all the better about it.

Maybe not Felliniesque, but the others and Ink, yes. Blue Devils show was designed for the current era. The Boston show just feels dated to me.

I will admit to being somewhat of a crown “hater” for the past few years. But this show has grown on me quite a bit. They’re making all of the right changes which hasn’t been the case since 2017

This Boston show could beat any of the champions from 2010-2015. But we are not in that era. I can’t see them beating the Blue Devils with this show although it’ll undoubtedly be one of my favorites from the season.

I said last week that the gap BD had in Atlanta was not impossible to overcome and I was laughed at. The gap has closed immensely when all I heard was that it would grow wider. Now they’re moving goalposts. I love Blue Devils show. I think it’s one of their best. I don’t think they will win by a large gap and I do think they are beatable.

The scores tonight and tomorrow will tell us a lot about how this season will play out. If Bluecoats are comfortably ahead of Boston tonight and come close to BD, we will have a very interesting finals week

Regardless of the context, some people still view The Garden of Love as very anti-religion. I remember seeing somebody on the drum corps reddit when the show was announced stating that they won’t like the show regardless of what it looks or sounds like solely because its The Garden of Love.
