Only the Reddit admins can “shadow ban” you. This would be a site-wide thing, not only one subreddit. There is a massive distinction between admins and subreddit moderators. Moderators can remove posts and ban within a specific subreddit, but the mod team there is good and I doubt that is what is happening. I am just confused on the terminology. You would get a message that said you were banned if you were actually banned. If you were shadow banned, nobody could see you posts and they would have zero views. If a moderator removed your post, it would say so on the post.

Sir. This is a Vanguard thread. anyways! what’s everyone’s favorite vanguard show? mine is probably 1987, though I was a bit too young to know what DCI was then. haha!

We’re getting off topic here. What type of style do you think SCV will be pushing towards? Will we see a return to the aggressiveness of 2017-2019? Personally, I think the 2024 show will be a return to the punk aesthetic a la 2019, but hopefully with a much better foundation.

There were multiple people this happened to. Considering they aged out in 2023, I find it doubtful that they are in Boston’s hornline this year.

I don’t think we are talking about the same person.

I know of a guard member who marched with Boston in 2022 and was contracted for 2023, where they were made to re-audition midway through spring training. They did not made the cut and had to find a new home for 2023. Given the reaction on the thread, I am sure that is not the only time that has happened.

I’m pretty sure Box5 is close to $100 for all three days of Grand Nationals. For all of the #####ing people do about Flo, $60 for the whole season + next day replay is a much better deal.

They’re a distraction at best and at worst a serious attempt at using the cover of member abuse as a promotional of whatever radical ideals they come up with. Again, I have no problem with whatever they want to promote on their own time in a separate organization. But member safety above anything else. And you invalidate your reply with the playground “w—welll why doesn’t anyone else do it!1!?” if that doesn’t absolve them of any criticism. Please don’t waste your own time by replying.

Spare me your useless PR spin. Why are the organizations not separate? Surely dedicating a sole focus to survivor support and then a separation to whatever adventures you want will serve you better. I’ve made my point pretty clear and understandably, I’ve had nothing but negative interactions with your leadership and this slight air of smugness demonstrates the illegitimacy of your organization. Answer this question, are you more focused on membership safety or “anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist” rhetoric. I seriously hope that someone new knows how to setup a true system that provides proper response and resources without the agenda.

The problem I have with MASSIN is they try to be to many things at once. If you want to be the DEI advocate while promoting your own brand of politics then sure. They have the right to do so. But doing that in addition to claiming to be THE whistleblower / reporting center for issues in drum corps is unethical. That plus an interaction I had with one of their leadership makes me 100% skeptical of anything with the organization.
