Just got a couple of texts from the boy - Colts did not have a good show tonight (his words). Only had about an hour's rehearsal time today due to a parade also said that the announcer really threw them for a loop. Anyone who was there care to comment?
When did certain corps go co-ed?
I'm working on revising (not revisionist - Ha!) the "History of the Colts." In 1965 the then named Legionnaires (Colts now) went co-ed. How rare, or not, was this for 1965?
Thanks for any in-put.
two of the bravest young women have marched the past 3 seasons with the Colt Cadets - one with half a leg missing the other in constant ankle pain - never a complaint, they just got on with it
I know a guy who marched Emerald Knights, Colts, and Cavaliers who was allergic to the sun (back in the 80s) - was covered head to toe. Also know a guy who has Crohn's disease - now he marched his way into my respect column
Kudos to BK. The safety of all is paramount - white knuckled arrivals benefit no one. This is but a hiccup for any corps - especially now as music is easily available online. BTW, off topic, great show last year BK, great show.
