As April zips along, it gets closer to the point where we are asked by DCI to renew our Fan Network subscriptions (most of ours end on Apr. 30). It seems each year that DCI adds more and more to the Fan Network. Below is my wish list for an ultimate fan network - I know most of it is not possible to due to copyright difficulties, etc., but hey, its fun to think about. So here is my wish list.... 1. Access to the audio and ability to download ALL of the DCI corps that placed 13th through 20whatever from each year, including the 70's, 80's, 90's and parts of 2000's. Right now, most years are top 12 only. 2. Access to the video of the above as well, including the high camera prelim sets from the late 70's to 1987, as well as the Video Express years of 1988 - 1994 where they had multicamera and high camera of every corps performance from championship week! Also 1995 to present, the videos of Quarters, Semis, and Finals of every corps performance (remember all those individual videos DCI used to sell!) :) 3. Access to and a merger with Drum Corps World and Ken Mason to get downloads of The Beat Goes On series on to the Fan Network! 4. Access to and ability to download the Ken Kobold collection, including all those performances he recorded outside of DCI finals (again, Ken Mason) Yay Ken! 5. Access to past Div. 2/3, A, A-60 corps performances (video, audio, anything DCI has Again, all of this is probably a pipe dream, but its fun to speculate. I am also one of those that will miss prelims on video, as I guess I was one of the few that ordered them each season when available, especially during the BVP years. It was cool to get ALL the competing corps from the weekend on video, and even cooler to have both prelims AND finals of the top corps, just to have comparison videos - but thats my personal enjoyment :) At least maybe create a nonfinalist video volume? Gets expensive to order each prelim corps who didn't make finals by buying an individual DVD.

I think the ESPN contract for 3 years is now over, so now is it possible for DCI to televise finals for 2010? Maybe put it on the fan network? I doubt a TV telecast like PBS is out there, but I would think that DCI would strongly consider doing a pay-per-view on the fan network. Could be very cool this summer... leed17

After reading all of the topics on the sound issues at LOS, etc., over the last year, it would be really nice for DCI to appease some of the fans who are upset about the echo, etc., by offering APD recordings of the LAST regional before championships - and that would be Allentown in 2010. I know they post highcam vids on FN of Allentown, but doing an APD of each of those corps those nights would go a long way, and would at least give the fans a professional audio recording, OUTSIDE, right around championship time. That way, those who don't like the sound of the DVD's or CD's from LOS could still have the recording from Allentown to listen to, since most corps make very limited to no changes from Allentown to Finals. Just a thought for this coming season... leed17

Just got an email response from DCI - the only APD's available from San Antonio are the ones that are up on the network - the rest were lost due to a computer glitch that corrupted them. : (

Audubon High School in New Jersey has just purchased new uniforms, and is looking to sell the old ones. The old uniforms were purchased in 1996 from DeMoulin - mostly what might be of interest to anyone are the plain black bibber pants, and the black shakos with gold trim. The pants are in decent condition, with some pairs only being 3-5 years old because they were purchased as add-ons from DeMoulin back in 2004 or so. They are the bibber style, with a black tux stripe on each leg. The shakos are black with gold brim, gold sunburst on the front. There are about 65 pairs of pants, and probably 50 or so hats. Anyone interested, please contact me at ldeloach@audubonschools.org. Price is negotiable, and we are willing to sell any number that the buyer wants (could be 10, could be all). The jackets for the uniforms are green with white trim, but they have a gold A stitched on to one shoulder, so that could be a problem. The jackets are a "Blue Devil" style from 1994, and come with an insert that goes underneath that is black with gold buttons. Hi everyone, I have two tickets to sell to the DCI Annapolis show on June 20. My nephew is graduating that day, so I can't attend. These were purchased through DCI very early on - I have great seats. Section 105, Row 4 seats 23 and 24. This is the upper level, center, 4 rows from the front of the overhang. I went to this show in 2007, and its a GREAT place to see a drum corps show. Anyone know if APD's will be recorded this coming summer? I did not see an APD schedule listed for this season on the new Fan Network, only Videos. Just wondering... and being impatient :)

Hmm... No audio streaming, just video - that means no 1972 or 1973 content. Also noticed there are no listings for 2009 APD's, just video content. ??
