  11. Someone else shared on another thread first, so thanks to them too…but your welcome. DCI does not publicize this website at all. I happened to stumble upon it a few years ago doing a google search, and I wasn’t even sure if it was run by DCI or someone else, but I guess it is legit since this years program is on there. It’s a cool site to go to see a lot of the older programs.
  12. Artifacts, buffering, stuttering, sound out of sync, you name it, it has happened today. Add the occasional wrong banner, or banner in the middle of the show, and technical difficulties every so often, and it’s been a lousy day for FLO…the rest of the season has been really good for me, so it’s so disappointing for this to happen during finals week. I really hope it gets better today, tomorrow and Saturday.
  13. Tech issues already with Flo...hope it gets worked out in a few minutes before Colt Cadets start
  14. This has been a great season, and two things are going to be missing…a program/yearbook, and an offering of a finals bluray according to another thread. Those two things are what make the season for me, so to not have those offerings is sad. I will admit that I am part of the older crowd having been a fan since the 80’s, and I see the younger crowd not showing interest in some of the things like programs, media on disc, etc. I get it…but it is still hard to swallow for someone like me who is pretty much a “collector” of items that are no longer being offered. I thoroughly enjoy browsing thru a program/yearbook from a season while the bluray/dvd plays in front of me on my big screen tv.
  15. Yes, they corrected the day…now it should be all good.
  16. Flo is showing the replay of Friday's Allentown show again today (Sunday)...ugh! I emailed but who knows if they respond. Maybe they will show both Friday and Saturday all in one shot today?? Wishful thinking I guess.
  17. I’m sorry, but this is not accurate. I wish it was that way, as does DCI, BOA, and every other marching circuit in the world. Audio requires one type of license, video a totally different type. Audio is MUCH cheaper…for example, in 2019 the Crossmen full show was on the CDs. However, the bluray had the Led Zeppelin section cut out due to the cost of the video license that DCI could not afford, or it may have been that LZ or their record company forbids video rights for that tune. The whole licensing thing is a beast and difficult to navigate.
  18. Audio rights are much cheaper to get than sync rights for video…something to do with laws that were passed years ago that made getting audio rights cheap and easier to obtain. I truly wish the video rights would go that route too, but there would need to be a lot of lobbying to get the laws changed, and the big companies handling those rights would fight hard probably to NOT allow that to happen. All about the money… I honestly think any of the DCI fans over 35 will be shocked and sad to see the physical media go…the fans under 35 will not even care (I know not all, but most). They are the streaming, YouTube, Spotify crowd that don’t buy physical media. My own kids crack up at all the physical media I have. They just don’t understand…they ask why?? 🙂
  19. I think it may be the licensing companies and the record companies that are the most greedy, not so much the actual artists. Sony, Warner Bros., Tresona…they all take a big chunk of the sync rights for videos that DCI produces. As said earlier, I think when COVID hit and the 2020 season was lost, as well as a modified 21 season, the sad financial reality was that DCI could not afford to pay those sync rights licensing fees anymore, even for just the top 12. I am one of those that has all the DCI media that has ever been offered, and it will be extremely disappointing to not have a crystal clear bluray with DTS sound to watch next Winter and Spring from this season. I am glad they at least will offer the audio downloads…
