  1. Scott great job. I loved that you used our charts for the music. What a show! Don't be shy come out and see what's going on in Canada. There is more than just snow up here.
  2. Thanks John, you can take me out of Smiths Falls ya just can't take the Falls out of the man.
  3. Just to clear this up. When staff is hired in Kingston all contracts are closed after finals night. This is the way we do bussiness and all the staff are aware of this when they take a position with us. I in no way was trying to take away from the job that was done last year or the staff that taught. In fact I am still in talks with some staff for there involvement for next season. Anyone that has worked for me in the past knows im a straight shooter and i'm acting in the very best interest of the memebership. We are working very hard to make sure we provide a sound education team for Grenadiers of 2010, and look forward to bringing that to the field. Hope this clears things up.
  4. After a very successful 2009 season the Kingston Grenadiers are accepting resumes in various positions through out the corps, all candidates must send a resume with references and a mission statement on what they will bring to the table for the 51St version of the Grenadiers. If you feel you have what it takes to educate a really great group of Canadians, and have a really fun time doing it at the same time than this is the place to be. All resumes can be sent to randybillings@sympatico.ca We are hiring in: Brass Design Brass Team Visual Design Visual Team Color Guard Design Color Guard Team Again thank you all for a very magical 2009 season. Best regards Randy Billings
  5. We have lost a true gentlemen of this great sport. Rick you will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Rogers family in there time of need.
  6. Holy crap first camp already. Nice early start this year. This is going to be a great season. So if your out there not doing anything get out to Kingston and check out what we are about. Great show, Great staff and a top notch organization. Check out kingstongrenadiers.com
  7. too funny, I forgot about Rose's tuner! All kiddin a side we are getting some great hits on people who want to work with the corps for the upcoming season, I am still taking resume for one more week then we will make a decision. All I know is that the 2009 Grenadiers design team is going to be something very special.
  8. After the great success of 2008 the Grenadiers goal is to come out for the 2009 season bigger and better. The organization has gone through great changes already for the upcoming season. We are now accepting resumes for Brass Arranger/Caption Heads and also for Visual Designer/Caption Head, these are payed position with the corps. If you are interested please email your resume to me at randybillings@sympatico.ca or contact me at (613)-389-0558. I look forward your response. Randy Billings
  9. That's cool man, we know your busy. Never forget your always welcome around the corps.
  10. Thanks Adam its been a great year so far. The corps members have really stepped up with a great attitude towards work and team. The more people the better to come out and see what the Grenadiers have to offer DCA fans this year. Its all about the Grenadier "HEART" this year !!!!!
  11. We all know the risks we took when we declaired Open Class. Reality is DCA will not open it up to the top 12 for finals night. Why? Because they have clairifired from the get go 10 will only be going on Sunday night. Also the three top A class corps. This is what a championship show should be. I truly wish I had a 100+ drumcorps and im sure there are many out there that feel the same way. Sometimes it's not in the card no matter how hard you try. Grenadiers are going to do there best to go out and perform and make the Sunday night show, and if we don't then we will be watching 10 other corps that where seen to be better than us. I also think that getting a corps to finals is victory in itself, big or small, open or A-Class, Alumni or mini-corps we are an activity thats one of a kind, a "family" thats what Finals are about to Grenadiers so no matter what we all win. So good luck to all. Randy Billings
  12. Grenadiers would like to thank the Brigs for letting us use your pit during your lunch, and also the Sunrisers for letting us use your podium for the show. Lossing our equipment truck on the way down created real problems for us and having those corps step up and help us out really speaks for the activity. Congrats to all that performed it's going to be a dog fight to finals! Thanks again Randy Billings
