  1. Apparently there are exceptions to this rule. Blood, sweat and tears are okay. Baby powder - no.
  2. This is just speculation... I doubt there is a specific meaning or symbolism to the feather. I think it just references the primitive, tribal, ritualistic nature of Rite of Spring.
  3. Will tickets be available at the dome today?
  4. New ending feels like a "work in progress". Looking forward to seeing it live in the near future.
  5. Thanks for the link. Just watched Cadets play a little "Rocky Point Holiday"!
  6. It's a Blue Devil World... and they just let people hijack their threads on DCP.
  7. It is an awesome section and it's getting faster!
  8. Looks like some changes have been made to the transition between the fanfare and EOTB. Flows better now.
  9. I wonder if the bass drum in the steel frame will get the same treatment. I noticed during their time at GWU that there was a section where a guard member and horn line member took turns "scribbling" on the drum head. It would make sense if the bass drum were adorned like a chalk board...
  10. This year's musical approach is different from 2011 but the visual style (use of props) is very similar.
  11. Is the webcast link up yet on the Fan Network?
  12. It sounded good in Tora! Tora! Tora! though...
  13. Back then shows didn't have 100's of drill sets...
  14. This show is definitely going to be polarizing. People will fall into either the love it or hate it camp with few left sitting on the fence. I wonder what type of posts we would have seen in these forums back in 1993 when Star Of Indiana debuted their "Medea" show? Many of the things that people complained about them doing then are now commonplace in today's programs. This activity is always in flux, always evolving. Will Crown's 2013 production be a pivotal moment in DCI's history or just a footnote? I don't know, but it's going to be a great summer of drum corps either way!
  15. Wow! It's going to be fun watching this program develop over the summer. Looks like the narration is back in the ballad with a different narrator.
  16. In the mid to late 80's there was very little information available before tour began. You had to rely on word of mouth from people you knew in other corps. Every once in awhile someone might have a cassette tape of a rehearsal that they would share. Drum Corps world was really the only source of info. Most of the time we didn't know what anyone else was doing till we saw them on tour!
