Where I was sitting, there was this couple behind me that reminded me of the Costanzas from Seinfeld. They were really annoying people, talking during corps' shows (that REALLY ###### me off. I glared at them, but they didn't take the hint). Anyway, seeming to be long time fans, the following conversation took place immediately before the Bluecoats' performance:
Mrs. Costanza: What's that thing they're doing? What're they doing?
Mr. Costanza: They're "Booing."
Me: <look of shock>
After the performance:
Mr. Costanza: Like I told you, they're "Blooing."
Mrs. Costanza: Oh.
It amazes me that people could be so clueless. They're the Blue coats! What do you think they're doing? Booing or Blooing? Frickin' idiots.
The very first time I ever saw a show the Bluecoats were there. When the Bluuuuuuing started for a shocking second I thought the crowd was Booooing! I could not believe a crowd would be this rude so i listened real hard and then figured they were Bluuuuing (ya got to admit a thaousand people bluuuing does sound like boooing). I leaned to my husband and said (quietly) they are Bluuuing aren't they and he noded his hear yes! It is just kind of a shock when you first hear it and no one has warned you! Don't be to hard on the ignorance of newbees. You should have told them what was happening so they would understand and not think drum corps fans would be so rude.
Great review!
Thanks
