  1. Just as with any notes on a brass horn, use more air than you think you could possibly ever need on lots and lots of long tones. I dont practice pedal tones as much for the actual range, but to strengthen middle and upper range tone. Getting used to that much air will boost your tone ten-fold with other ranges.

  3. Hey, I'm a Trombone player who, simply put, has too much spit. I dont know if it's actually something with my mouth inparticular or if I'm doing something wrong, but it seems like I have to empty my spit valve or drain my slide all too often. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!
