  1. Absolutely agreed. Especially here in California. We deserve late season shows. I would love for DCI to take Finals on tour again.
  2. I would personally like to see it in different cities YOY. It brings the marquee event to other cities who have either a)supported the activity through thick and thin for ages; or b) bring to new and exciting cities that would love the activity with such exposure. I know it’s nice for DCI to have Indy the safety blanket but I’d really like to see Finals in different markets again.
  3. Loved Gold’s show as well as Golden Empire when I saw them at Riverside. Wish Vessel had made it east, they have some serious potential. I’m rooting for the kids I saw, hope Gold finishes 3rd and GE top six.
  4. Three honorable mentions because this is hard: 01. Velvet Knights 1992 02. Cadets 1993 03. Cavaliers 1995
  5. Apologies if this is a duplicate thread, I did a search and couldn't find anything related to this. Plus I love a fresh perspective, and I love this era. Here are mine, ten to one. Don't judge, just submit yours with a short line to explain. :) 10. Phantom 1993 -Powerful, dark, amazing music and movement. 09. Blue Devils 1993 -Maybe the most difficult music book I've ever seen put to field. Performed beautifully IMO. 08. Madison 1995 -In your face LOUD! Will never forget time I saw this. 07. Blue Devils 1994 -I remember watching the PBS broadcast like it was yesterday. Unreal. Man this show was FIRE. 06. Star of Indiana 1991 -Respighi. Enough said. 05. Blue Devils 1995 -So dark, that battery was ON FIRE. Maybe fave BD show ever next to 1992. 04. Santa Clara Vanguard 1999 -The Canyon, the 3 year plan paying off with a disputed tie. Amazing show. 03. Blue Devils 1992 -Nobody does latin jazz but when Blue Devils do, they do it better than anyone. 02. Star of Indiana 1993 -Game changer. Created my love for Samuel Barber and Bartok. The show that resonates today. 01. Santa Clara Vanguard 1992 -Bottle dance. No other words. Changed my life.

  7. 86.2? This early? Wow. Haven't seen the show, but could be an all-timer?
  8. I marched VK 96.. shouldn't have to say anything else
  9. My vote is EASY - Blue Devils, an amazing show totally never gets the respect it deserves. Followed by Phantom and the Scouts. Such a great, great year done wrong by a bad recording.
  10. We all know, 1995 was the absolute worst Finals ever recorded. If it was re-recorded, what is the first show you're going to watch/listen to?
  11. It's really too bad, since that's one of my favorite years for music. Madison, BD, Cadets... LOVE those shows.
