  1. Whether the directors knew beforehand or not, I was flabbergasted that it was announced as Cavis-PR. Not because they weren't good, but because Cadets won quarters brass by 0.3, lost semis brass by 0.1...so it seemed that, with averaging, Cadets would probably get the Ott trophy...ESPECIALLY given a 99.15. And if not, Cavies would JUST squeak by. But when announced as Cavies-PR, my friend and I said wow, Cadets must have gotten nearly-perfect in every other caption and just somehow really stunk up in brass tonight...
  2. The anxiety and tenseness early on of lack of head-to-head among the top handful of corps...with BD in Europe, Phantom on the west coast, Scouts wandering about, and the Cadets and Cavies parting ways very early on... This made me nervous and a bit...bored sometimes. But I guess the competition elsewhere made up for it! Yowza, and a Blue Devils corps truly misstepping for the first real time in...what...12 years? (if you can call 4th place a misstep). The zone, and the Cadets finding their championship footing once again (finally). Rhapsody, and a Phantom Regiment that was so majestic. Carmen, and the Scouts popping back into the top 6 for the first time since 1999, but with an astonishingly lackluster (unScoutslike) ending. Seemingly every corps starting backfield. Personally: The Columbia, SC rainout, moved into a hot, packed, stuffy, loud gym. The Cadets gave us their encore program, too!! That ANNOYING ALARM BELL in Gillette Stadium on Saturday, about every 20-30 seconds in the left endzone. The lightning delay at Finals, and gazing at the sky (and freakishly orange moon) in constant worry. Nervously anticipating finally seeing (first and foremost) The Cadets and (also) Phantom. 99.15.
  3. Yep, other -- Cadets win. That will make me very very happy. But if they do not get 1st, I'd love for PR to take it.
  4. It made me really angry too! I kept wondering, why the h*ll don't they cover the field!! Injury city and slippery hands!
  5. TRUE. By the way, people, coming from someone in meteorology, don't use weather.com! Stick to weather.gov! :)
  6. Haha, funny that The Cadets didn't get it playing a Disney show :P
  7. And oh my did it pour ALL DAY in Orlando 2003, right up until showtime.
  8. Cadets seem to be slowly building a teeny lead over Cavies (from less than 0.1, to 0.5, now 0.8). Whatever changes BD is making aren't quite producing just yet, still 2+ points behind Cadets/Cavies. Which is same distance Phantom was from Cadets last night, so BD and PR are neck and neck at the moment. Crossmen really pull out ahead of Colts tonight to 1.1, compared to 0.35 last night. More distance tonight between Cap and Mandarins, 2.7 tonight comapred to 0.75 last night And Pacific Crest LEAPS over Mandarins. They were down 2.625 last night, but come out 0.25 ahead tonight.
  9. 1 The Cadets 96.850 2 The Cavaliers 96.050 3 Blue Devils 94.000 4 Crossmen 85.000 5 Colts 83.900 6 Capital Regiment 81.350 7 Pacific Crest 78.900 8 Mandarins 78.650 9 Pioneer 73.600
  10. Ok, that's what I thought but I wanted to be sure.
  11. Actually, I'm glad you mentioned that because I was thinking the same thing at Salem last week -- I think every corps there started backfield. It began to be funny to me after the 3rd or 4th corps.
  12. We'd have 20+ years under our belt of people complaining about Hopkins and Garfield/CBC/Cadets. :)
  13. I think that somerville meant that it's a good thing that she doesn't consider past placements. Of course it's a good thing.
  14. I hate 'shout outs'...but *waves little cadets flag*
  15. I saw the show in Salem, VA a few nights ago, and it left me pretty flat, too. It sounded like a Blue Devils arrangement (choppy), the guard didn't grab me, the appearance of Carmen was fun but then I got distracted by her and had to force myself to watch and listen to the show as a whole, and the ending didn't go anywhere. :-/
  16. SCV's ending was different from what I heard on the SanAn APDs, but that was some weeks ago...but I don't recall reading anything about the new ending on here, but I may have overlooked it.
  17. Fantastic. Could still win today, drill was scary as ####.
