  1. Hey, I always liked Greece. Not because you were there but just because they had a good corps in 1975.
  2. Little Joe.....read carefully before you reply! Buffalo and Rochester ARE Upstate. NYC, Long Island are downstate. That's what the term Upstate means. If you want, I can give you a geography lesson while I'm up there next month. Plus a lesson in drum corps so you can carry on the tradition OR find Dick Hoppe or Tom Peashey, they'll inundate you with drum corps info. Great stuff!

  6. Yes, Nick changed his name but I forgot what he goes by now. Guess the last name bothered him. Also Jen Kirschner and Bill Welsh played with Oakies in 78 I think. So did Daryl Langworthy who the marched three years with Santa Clara in the bass line.

  8. I believe that was her name....I had a thing for her. She and her friend would come over to us after the contest and we would chat. To bad that Toronto was so far back then...at 16. If you see her tell her I said HI!!!

My Favorite performing year was 1976 for Junior corps (Royal Coachmen) Watching?..........1976, Man that was some good stuff, Blue Devils winning, Phantom, 27th, Madison, Santa Clara, Bridgemen, Cavaliers, Oakland Crusaders, Seneca Optimists, Blue Stars, Capitol Freelancers and Guardsmen. What a season!

  15. I knew I could count on my FAVORITE student ever!!! Thank you Danielle! I still talk about you to my students...taking lessons, working hard and making it into Fredonia. You should come down here, plenty of teaching jobs between Pinellas, Manatee and Sarasota Counties. And Gary, I love Rochester, played my best music there with Crusaders and teaching Patriots BUT I was also in The Power Company at their height, Man that was some fun! I could never forget the Greece Cadets
