  1. yeah i reached out a while ago when I think the Spirit story broke and i got the impression now with USA Today she was on the topics they wanted covered. and she also referred to local media, but i asked if she had contacts in Atlanta and she said no. i'm surprised the Lehigh valley media hasn't done more with this, but maybe since they moved, they don't care.
  2. oh yes, i know all of the details and was at the show inside. worst gym possible too...so small
  3. nothing beat a YEA volunteer when i got to a YEA run show and had the exact same seat info on my ticket as 3 other people and they informed me "well you got here after them, so i have openings on the 20". and i informed them to call george so he could refund me out of his pocket now.
  4. that mooch. always looking for a freebie LOL. and i have some band parent stupid stories. due to the statutes possibly not expiring, i'll not post anything. but if i am on watches, what happens between the lines is my responsibility. i know the rulebook, you dont....so don't get in my face in front of a crowded gym. or i'll stand there, say nothing, then turn around and walk away and get security
  5. hell hath no fury like a band mom that thinks they have power. No matter how much you try to work with them
  6. i've seen this on multiple levels of the activity. i have also seen where just other volunteers poison it. i saw social media stuff recently about a WGI guard regional in Texas where parent volunteers turned off many units by being power hungry and not respecting people's pre-show process and fan experience
  7. i've experienced it. luckily i was already too far gone to be affected
  8. figures...i'm in Cali for a Disney trip, and the closest show is in Bakersfield and we won't have a car. sigh
  9. only if it has the last name starting with B on it
  10. which leads me to Phantom 96 at finals. mesmerized. you forgot everything going on around you. you were sucked in from the start
  11. i couldn't...the first time i saw it was in the tunnel behind them waiting to perform in exhibition!
  12. true story....my senior year in HS, our drill designer was a Boston alum. when he would count stuff off, he never said 27. so i asked him and he told me. so i of course told the band and we yelled it. then in our closer, we had a slow turning front, and for the last day of camp, i got the band to sing Danny Boy while we did the drill. he eventually forgave me, and we even marched together later. and now he's a Lutheran Pastor
  13. i still can't believe i was staying at the Copley and didn't think to look to see when the concert was....and i saw it had happened later that night. Then again after the Duck Boat tour and the awesome penguin display at the aquarium, i was probably hungry and or tired.
  14. and i agree on burned bridges. the rush to take over only made things worse, and led to some bad hires. I feel so bad for Scott....given time...man what he could have done
  15. well the old regime killed off the indoor programs because they weren't "Cadet" enough. C2 survived as long as it did because of incredibly dedicated staff
  16. if it's who I think it was....well he didn't do well elsewhere
  17. oooohhhhh..... BD 94. they came East early and saw them at Allentown. the fight for second began that night, and it was just a matter of how close anyone else would get because eventually BD would run out of numbers.
  18. the list is so huge i can't even begin to think of it all
