I heard from a very reliable source that all BUT the percussion staff has left Spartans due to some issues which were not disclosed to me..... Anyone have any info on this????

As far as I am concerned I think it is a great thing for the City of Lynn and for MA to have the corps back. As a music educator, its a breath of fresh air to know that marching music isn’t totally dying in MA. As far as the whole staff thing goes I do not believe that any of the staff will be returning....if i where a betting man i would say that the brass staff Caption will be Paul Bourque€, or at least a musical consultant of some kind. I would like to see Jeff Bolduc thou come back and take over as Brass Caption. But im sure there are some very well qualified people out there who would love to teach the jazz. But all in all i am very pleased to see that the jazz will be back in some form or another. Great news for DII and DCI, and maybe someday DI.

I herd from the grape vine that East Coast Jazz has acquired to DCI to go D1. Is this true? and by 06?

We all uphold to tradtions, so in that regard I also uphold to titels with tradtions East Coast Jazz was named World Champions on Sat. so in that mind set in tradition they should be wearing gold metals as well, in fact I think they should get a different metal then anyone. Since they are the world champions. I’m not refuting that Spartans won, because they did. They just didn’t win the big one. I’m just sick and tired on how people keep on saying it’s the same thing, but really it is not. Everyone gave Spartans there time in the spot light when they won, why can't we give ECJ there’s. Also I am one for "traditions" when it comes to the last show of the year witch is quite frankly, the one to win. Give these kids the right to be proud, just like others before them.

They were fantastic! The best soloists in DII and prolly right up there in top 4 in DCI this year. Way to bring it home guys!

I think itll be interesting to have the East Coast Jazz with a new sound...it can only make them beter...all I have say is watch out, ECJ has the dream team. Only good things will happen. Good luck to ECJ in 2004
